Our schools have a good base and momentum to improve. While we have a 90% graduation rate, we are in the bottom 50% in Kansas in most other categories. We need to be better than #197 in #286.

I'm not running because I was asked. I'm running for school board to represent the 40 hour a week, ditch digging public. I represent the people who go home dirty and sweaty. I represent people who don't feel like their voice means anything. I am not running for me, I am running for us. Almost 20 years of service to the city and volunteering to the public, its time for us to be heard at the school board level.

We must make every effort to invest in our teachers and find the best and brightest to bring to Neodesha. Retention and recruitment of experienced teachers is vital to improving our schools.

Here we are a week before graduation. Its a great time to celebrate our Seniors and hope they take what our schools has taught them and make the world a better place.

I'm here for the common parent who works an 8 to 10 hour day. I've been a public servant since 2000 doing blue collar work and public safety. I would be honored to serve as as a representative for our schools in the Neodesha community.

I am running for USD 461 school board this year. I am excited to run and hope to get to serve my community in yet another capacity.

Please like and share. We are a couple weeks away from Election Day. We have a great community. We have a good school district that has room to be great. I’m a blue collar, get dirty, and get the job done candidate. We are a town built on the oil and farming industry. We are a town built on blood, sweat, and tears. I feel we need to instill this toughness and ability to persevere in our kids. We are Neodesha. The kids are our future.

Had a great weekend of activities here in town! Hope everybody got out and enjoyed the fall weather. I was really happy to see and speak to the people from around our community. Have a great week everyone!

This school district is more than just some buildings and people. The schools are the heart and soul of our small town. It’s something we should all be proud of. Having the Promise put us on the map, now we need to be the example for the rest of the state to follow. When our students graduate, that Bluestreak should be tattooed on their heart. I saw a friend the other day complain about drivers not stopping for buses with their stop 🛑 signs engaged. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop for school buses that are stopped with their lights and stop 🛑 signs engaged. No one is in too much of a hurry to prevent an accident. Children don’t always think to look. Mr. Rogers was a hero to millions of kids. We should all strive to make this little slice of our world better like Mr. Rogers did. We as a community should look at every student with a wonder and best hopes for all the kids who attend our schools. Our goal should always be to make sure that all levels of school are a positive experience for our children. We can’t always promise for life to be fair, but we can strive for it.

20 years ago, our country suffered one of the worse losses of life ever inflicted on our own soil. Driving down Main Street and seeing the flags hanging from the fire truck and the street lights, that should remind us that America is about freedom and hard work. Its about standing up for what is right, no matter how rough the road. On 9/11/21, please love your friends and family. Football 🏈, Volleyball 🏐, and Tennis 🎾 today. It was great seeing the stands at the Blue-White Games for Middle School and High School looking full! I hear the tennis 🎾 team did well in Chanute. We as a district should be proud of our athletes and encourage them to represent their school well. There’s a quote I love. I know they don’t have names on the back their jerseys. “ The name on the front of the jersey represents who they play for, the name on the back represents who raised you. Whether you’re an elected official or you get dirty everyday, being a public servant; you should have the knowledge or experience of your co-workers or employees. Every employee is a block to build our school district with. Please like and share and have a great day!

As school has gotten past it’s initial few days, and looks towards it’s first full week; we should all pray for the safety of our children and the staff. With events starting up, we’ll have kids traveling and representing Neodesha. Have a great full week of school and Go Bluestreaks to our Football, Volleyball, Girls’ Tennis, Cross Country, and other fall activities.

20 years of public service, 15 years as law enforcement, 8 years as a substitute teacher, 8 years of being a DARE instructor, 12 years of volunteering for Neodesha High School football, and 15 years of volunteering and working with the Rec.
I’ve put a lot of time in and want to give more. The kids of our town are our future. I want to serve the kids and parents of this town. We should all take pride in ever student that graduates as a honorable, respectful representative of Neodesha.
