Here is an explanation of how our laser is different than cold laser or low level light therapy:
It is important to understand that as laser energy penetrates through the body, laser energy is lost/absorbed at each tissue level. Some will get reflected off the skin, some absorbed by the skin layers and the remainder penetrates or transmits into deep tissue. By the time you start reaching deeper tissues there may not be enough therapeutic energy left to cause adequate tissue stimulation in those deeper tissues. Meaning lower power lasers are useless. Anything under 20 watts will not have sufficient energy left to reach deep tissue. Unless you start with sufficient amount of energy on the skin you cannot achieve a necessary result. This is the reason why low power lasers (LLLT or Cold Lasers) as well as pulsing lasers, with low power output, fail.
