Puppies will be 6 months old at the end of April and that is the perfect age to start them on sheep.

I will be home for the summer at the beginning of May and I cannot wait to get River started. I will hopefully be spending a lot of time this summer with Sadie going to different Dog Trials across the state.
In the mean time, River and Sadie are spending a lot of time with Grandma and Grandpa either in the Treasure Valley or up in Cambridge.

As always, Run for the Border Kennel thanks you for following along on our journey and we cannot wait to see what the future holds!

Our story

Since I was a kid, I fell in love with the Border Collie breed after working on a big cattle operation in Council, Idaho. After seeing the amazing things these dogs could do, I developed a passion for working this breed of dog within the ranching life. I wanted to be able to raise dogs with quality bloodlines so I could eventually grow my operation. In April of 2015, we welcomed JNP Sadie to the family. Sadie is one of the most loyal, hard working, and obedient dogs I have had the pleasure of owning. I recently had the amazing opportunity to breed Sadie to Broken Circle Border Collies sire, Ox. In October of 2019, Sadie gave birth to a litter of six (6) puppies. Not only did she give life to these awesome pups, but she also gave life to ‘Run for the Border Kennel’. I am very excited to see these bloodlines flourish, and can’t wait for all of you guys to be on this journey with me.
