There was a time when I'd NEVER have started this step without cutting ALL the strips first. A "gifted" child issue that I've had to work through, grow past. I've learned that even though that would be ideal (in my head), doing the steps a little differently will make this project more enjoyable.

There's a cutscene at the beginning of my game. It's made up of text boxes and a bunch of pictures. I made one of the pictures today.

What do you think is happening here? give me a wild guess.

This is a map from Shadowman. The Level is called Underwood. Why is it called Underwood? Well because it's a secret cave underneath the town of Overwood. Duh.

You can zoom in and see all the little mushrooms, stalagmites, and skeletons that call Underwood home.

Not my favorite step, but I've made quite a bit of progress.

I think that a silhouette in a cloak makes a caricature of villainy that is hard to take seriously. Like, is anybody really afraid of these guys? It's when you connect villainy to a face and personality that it becomes scary.

These two are some of the faceless members of a mysterious cult in Shadowman.

I've been creating a help menu for Shadowman.

This is one of dozens of little screens that you can navigate to in order to find explanations on the games mechanics, controls, etc.

This one is on the element system. You know, you use a weapon or ability that is fiery on a plant monster, or you strike a crazed scuba diver with lightning, but fire doesn't work on a fish too well, and plants don't have a problem with water. It's pretty intuitive.

Normally, these kinds of gimmicks have three elements, but I thought I'd make it five so that in any given situation you could be using an elemental ability or weapon that isn't weak or strong against an enemy.
