Huge day! Even by our standards. We purchased and delivered 3 Industrial Coolers and a Freezer to the Casa Alitas Shelter.

We filled an El Paso, Texas bound truck & trailer with 115 cots, hundreds of meals and masks to open the El Paso shelter.

We condensed our inventory area to make more room for the kids to play and guests to congregate.

And so much more, as always!

All in a mornings work, thanks to the awesome volunteers we have!

Thank you to everyone who came! You made hard, humid work easy!

In our first of the series, we unmask Nailah Emani. She volunteers almost every weekday to help us make tens of thousands of Face Shields for first responders and healthcare workers throughout our community. She is a student of the University of Arizona, studying Neuroscience and Cognitive Science.

Nailah regularly attends bible talks and campus ministry gatherings at the Tucson Church of Christ. She is also a mentor in the teen ministry. Ms. Walker even uses her beautiful voice to praise God during songs in Sunday sermon. She is what most consider to be an outstanding member of the community. Without Nailah, HOPE worldwide would not be able to accomplish its mission to serve those in need.

Nailah has a clear and genuine care for every life on this planet. She also supports the movement. Ms. Walker fully understands the injustices including racism and police brutality against many people, especially against African Americans. She wants everyone in this country to be treated as equals.

Nailah listens to and serves countless others, every day. She wants to be listened to, as she listens to others. She wants to be valued, as she puts great value on others’ lives. She is making face shields for police officers as well. She is making face shields for people of every race, background, belief, social class, etc. All lives do matter to Nailah, but widespread injustice is disproportionally prevalent amongst people with her skin color, so our focus should be on them. Bringing justice to the African American community will also bring justice to everyone else who suffers from the same injustice.

We are making Face Shields because it is currently the highest need in the healthcare community. By doing so and advocating for others to do the same, we are NOT saying that other PPE is less valuable or not important. We just need help because the greatest need is here. The greatest need in the African American community- which has the same right to equal justice in our great country- is to root out the injustice toward them.

Is it possible to clean, disinfect, landscape and paint an entire Middle School campus in 1 hour? We didn't know either...until yesterday's Mansfeld Beautification Project.

Thanks to the nearly 150 volunteers that showed up to eat pizza, have fun and tackle the monumental task, we finished ahead of schedule yesterday!

We surely broke some sort of record while beautifying the Mansfeld Campus in such short time on MLK Weekend!

Thank you Silverbell Albertsons for the disinfectant wipes/gloves, and Tucson Church of Christ for the delicious pizza! Thanks to all the volunteers that brought tools and equipment to speed up the process!

We had a great time recruiting volunteers at the UA for our high-impact programs directed toward serving underprivileged K-12 students, veterans, refugees, homeless and so many others! Thank you to all of our volunteers that showed up today!

We are excited for the Mansfeld Beautification Project this Sunday, 1/19! Pizza @ 11:30 AM and we will start cleaning/painting/fixing at 12 PM!
