This is the film that I made for a great client in Los Angeles. They gave us an incredible assignment to do something that had never been done before in their industry. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it.
Somehow, we managed to wind 8 trophies along the way at three different international media awards show/festivals.
It was great to see our work mixed in with the best of the best, and really cool to get recognized for making a difference.

Once the ball gets rolling you can actually use those challenging times to your advantage. You can turn those moments of truth into moments of triumph. You can learn how to help other people get over the hurdles that you had to go over - but a lot easier. AND you can go back to living ONE fulfilling life both at home and in your business. This life will reward you financially and it will give you peace.
You will have a new story - one that you are proud of - one that you will use to your advantage. And those challenging time you will OWN- and that's the breakthrough. You may not see it at first but I promise you it is there.

I've been directing and editing a cool short film for the leading Two-Way Radio service provider in all of Southern California - Mobile Relay Associates-Raycom.
MRA-Raycom has been in business since 1975 and has seen it all. President and CEO Mark Abrams asked me to tell the story of his industry as it has never been told before - and have some fun doing it.
The film itself is in the final stages of post production and will be released soon. We wanted to get this trailer out so that people could get an idea what we've been up to.
Believe me, there is a story behind every character - man or beast, as we show the evolution and development of a technology industry that provides service to thousands and thousands of business customers that depend on two-way radio communication as their most important link to better connection, efficiency, productivity and profitability.
It's an ambitious project with lots of live humans and visual effects that I am proud to be a part of. As a storyteller, it was something I have enjoyed tremendously especially because of the enthusiastic support of my client Mark Abrams and the entire mra-raycom team.

You've probably heard a lot about story during your journey with your business - right?
But what do they mean exactly?
For many years, I've been helping people just like you connect their story to messaging that works to compel a potential client or customer to buy what they are offering.
It's a very fast process of getting them to understand how valuable their story is to their overall success of the brand. I generally just need a few minutes to show them their own epiphany. Over the many clients throughout the years, it has become a gift to show people their magic.
What I've come to realize is that certain people get it "just like that", and certain people are just not ready.
Subtlety works for those that were paying attention and/or ready, but I can't count on that, because I want to help as many people as I can to succeed. So, my messaging has to be right to the point - from the name of the email subject line to the name of my facebook group & LinkedIn,etc...
If you're not ready now, you may be soon, or maybe later... and that's OK.
Stories that Sell are all around us, and the method of getting visible, crafty, and successful with the connection to sales is what I help people do to make their new OR established business more successful.
It's about confidence and command of your story.
It's about your connection technique to your prospects on camera.
It's about weaving that story throughout your entire brand.
I've been talent evaluator for many years in the core of my career based on film and advertising, and I've made a pretty good living at transforming every day looking and sounding people into people that stand out and get noticed - and doing it quickly!
It comes from personal attention, and it comes from directing - {people call it coaching now} - It comes from a safe, trusting space that I provide. I've seen too many people get chewed up in the system and never got their brilliant message out to the world and My mission is to help anyone willing be heard.
I've been able to take someone who's never been on camera before, get them comfortable, and suddenly they have a connection with their audience that they've never imagined was even possible.
Some feelings come up at first, but it's fun as hell once you start doing it.
It's even more fun when you sign more people up for your programs, or service every month!
That's really the bottom line isn't it?
My clients leave the details to me about implementation. If you worry too much about "how it works" , it will only get you into analysis paralysis.

AUGUST 9, 1985:
I almost missed my flight on TWA to Los Angeles via St. Louis via San Diego.
My friend Pat and his Mom were picking me up. Let's just say that being on time was not one of the things they were known for.
We were not big huggers in our family, but my dad hugged me out in the front yard and said "You can always come back." I still get a little choked up when I think of that moment.
I was leaving home for good - If, and it's a big IF WE MAKE OUR FLIGHT๐
We Drove past the giant Allen Bradley Clock on the south side of Milwaukee and it said 3:50pm. Out flight was supposed to leave at 4:15pm. The odds were against us. I thought "is this how this story ends?"
We ran through the airport as I hand carried a smith corona typewriter that had been retired from my family business - the business that I worked through my young years through high school and college, and managed to be debt free when I graduated with my Radio/TV/Film degree.
The miracle happened. We made the flight and I embarked on my journey in California.
I was set. I had no car. I had under $1000.00. I had no prospects...but I had a dream.
I sent out 50 two paragraph cover letters & held on to my resume until someone asked to see it (no one ever did btw).
I managed to snag 6 or 7 interviews from that letter, including the one at Ace & Edie, with Jim Edwards as the lead film editor. For some reason Jim invited me to join the company. Because I had a college education, I started @ $250.00/week.
Making that flight changed my life in dramatic fashion. I would have never found the way to express myself artfully and strategically like I've been doing ever since. I would've never had such an amazing run of professional encounters with people that made historic contributions to the world. I would have never been able to help the people and companies that I help today. I would never have been blessed with the two wonderfully creative kids (not kids anymore) that make me proud everyday.
It's barely the beginning of my story in California.
I have so many people to thank.
I have so many things to be grateful for.
All of our lives are incredible journeys which are meant to inspire others. I hope you reflect and learn to use yours to help your dreams come true beyond your imagination.
My vision for the people I work with is to get them over the top - to solve their problem, to get them to the next level - but not be utterly dependent on hand holding forever.
There will always be a relationship and growth. If I haven't helped create some type of inner strength and self reliance, then I haven't done my job - plain and simple.

About Keith Salmon
