Friends, the results of the election for Tombigbee Electric Power Association Board of Directors are finalized. I am so humbled and excited to announce that I was elected as one of the 3 board members from Lee County. There are no adequate words to express my gratitude to everyone who allowed me to place a yard sign, offered encouraging words and everyone who took the time to mark their ballots and mail it in. As hard as I worked to earn a position on this board, I can assure every TEPA member and employee that I will work just as hard as a board member! Anyone that has concerns should know that I will always be available to listen. I will be honest with you whether I can resolve the issue or not. It is important that you know I will take this position seriously and will work hard to earn the trust of everyone I serve.

Friends, I am hearing from several that they have NOT yet received their Tombigbee Electric Board ballot in the mail yet! This is frustrating to everyone I know! I would suggest that you please call Tombigbee on Monday morning and see if they have a solution. I don’t know if the mail is just delayed or what. I know a lot of our friends have received theirs. I appreciate everyone that has reached out to us about not receiving their ballot. I pray they arrive Monday or that Tombigbee can offer a solution.

Important info about TEPA ballots…. If you are concerned about a possible mail delay in returning your ballot, you may deliver the ballot directly to the accounting firm responsible for counting the votes. It is Franks, Franks, Wilemon & Haygood, located at 1202 north Gloster st, Tupelo, Ms. If you can’t take it to them, please mail it as soon as possible. Any ballots received AFTER 8/31/22 will not be counted! I cannot thank you enough for all of your consideration & support!

Okay friends! TEPA Ballots have arrived in the mail! Please mark your vote(s), sign the outside back of the envelope and drop in the mail immediately. There is NO postage required and in order to be received and counted by the deadline of August 31st, please mail immediately. My name is Sammy Reed and I am running for Tombigbee Electric board. Many of you already know me through my 39 years in the funeral business. I have been Manager at Lee Memorial Funeral Home for 17 years. I have assisted so many families during those 17 years. I want to continue my service to the families throughout the TEPA membership by serving as a Board Member. I will ALWAYS be available to the members, TEPA employees and community! Ballots will be arriving in the mail soon! They must be marked and the envelope signed and returned no later than 8/31/22 in order to be counted! Thank you for your consideration!

It’s that time of year again friends! I am pleased to announce my candidacy for the Board of Tombigbee Electric Power Association. I am so grateful to be nominated by the nomination committee for the current board. If elected, I promise to make myself available to every member of this coop as well as all employees of TEPA. Every member has a voice and I would be ever so grateful for your support in this endeavor. Ballots will be arriving soon in the mail. I ask that you please consider voting for me and promptly return the ballot. Ballots can also be dropped off at the accounting firm overseeing the results which is located at 1202 North Gloster St, Tupelo, MS. Ballots must be received no later than Aug. 31st to be counted. Even though the results weren’t what we hoped for, I am still so proud of my husband and appreciate all of our friends’ support! Looking forward to great things in the future!

I just want to take the time to extend my most sincere appreciation for ALL of the amazing support I received during my campaign for Board of Directors for Tombigbee Electric Power Association. I received the results yesterday and unfortunately, I did not secure a position on the Board. My results were tremendous and have encouraged me to continue this effort at a later time. By way of introduction, my name is Sammy Reed. I am married to Marilyn Reed, and we have 4 children and 4 grandchildren! We make our home in the Auburn community of Lee County. My wife is a Justice Court Judge in Lee County. I work as the Manager at Lee Memorial Funeral Home for over 16 years.
The main reason I am running is to make sure that each and every member of this power association has a voice and can be heard. I also want to see the completion of the fiber optic internet installation that is currently being done! This has the opportunity to provide great economic interest in our area, improve students’ access to the internet for use for education and much more!

Welcome to my page! After prayerful consideration and some urging by some friends in my community, I have decided to seek election to the Tombigbee Electric Power Board of Directors. I hope to bring continued success and technology to our Lee and Itawamba County areas! I also hope to play a small part in ensuring that this fiber optic internet is available to every home or business in our area!
Please vote for someone that commits to always being available to speak with my fellow citizens!
