Such wonderful news with the passage of H.B. 425 and the accompanying senate bill. Lots of progressive policies to make access and safety easier for patients like myself. I am happy to state I received my card from the state last week and couldn’t be more elated! It feels so great to be in my great home state of Utah and can use the medicine that best works for me with no repercussions. Wishing everyone a beautiful Monday!

Woke up today in pain (as usual), but thanks to medical ma*****na, not only was I able to get up and get going, but I was able to spend the day doing one of my favorite activities on one of the most beautiful days. This post hits close to home for me, for two reasons. One, medical ma*****na has truly given me my life back when it comes to treating my chronic pain. And two, being pain free allows me to enjoy my favorite activities like disc golf (that’s yours truly pictured in this photo in our beautiful state of Utah). Before getting safe access to my medicine of choice, I had to resort to doctor prescribed pain relievers, muscle relaxers, and when that wasn’t enough, alcohol. I have never been a fan of taking pills, and abusing alcohol for pain relief only made my entire life spiral around me. I can’t explain how elated I am to feel the pain relief I was searching for without the pills or booze. I’ve entered a whole new chapter of sobriety in my life I never thought I’d reach. Blister packs would have been such a waste! Also, so many people (especially people of color) will have the ability to have their previous ma*****na charges expunged! What a great change they want to make to allow MMJ patients easier and safer access to their medication!!!
