This pilot wanted his floors to be "reflective," to "look like ice," and to "look like they belong in a museum." Wasn't exactly sure what to make of those requests, especially with how terrible all of the seams had been cut (see photos). The Epoxy Designs crew not only accomplished those requests, we fixed the seams while keeping the integrity of the substrate allowing a lifetime warranty. Even Elsa the ice Queen approved of this one.

Swipe to see this beautiful transformation. A much more tedious process with a design like this, but oh so worth it. Customer wanted a seamless floor but also wanted to keep the integrity of the engineered control joints. So we decided to "disguise" them by incorporating them into accents.

One of our many other services includes driveway resurfacing. This particular job saved the customer $12,500 based on the two bids they received of needing to re-pour their entire driveway due to pitting and spalling. Quite the transformation in this basement... Customer had a plumbing issue and had to tear out a pipe spanning almost the entire length of the basement. We repaired the massive floor scar, removed the old glue coating, and laid down a pumice flooring system that turned out 🔥😍.

Think your concrete is too cracked, damaged, or old for an epoxy coating? Think again! Here is another transformation of a drab old slab with major damage, turned into a dream. This flake was very carefully selected by the homeowners, and they knocked it out of the park. It turned out to be one of my favorite transformations. The first photo is prior to any prep, notice the oil stains & blemishes. The second photo is after our standard surface preparation, which is standard for every job. This process includes removing the existing top-cap by utilizing a 765lb grinder equipped with diamond tooling specific to your concrete, an industrial vacuum, acetone wipe, and another industrial vacuum... But hot dog, l👀k at those results! You can't rush perfection.

Professional coatings all starts with professional prep work. These are common types of tooling that we use depending on the needs of the space. This is one reason why we need to see your concrete in person during our fast and free estimates.

What is a concrete grinder, and why are they important for concrete coatings?
Concrete grinders are commonly used to level off a slab, to remove paint, epoxy's, stains, & other coatings from concrete in order to prepare for new floor coverings. Industrial grade grinders used by professionals will create a smooth, level surface that will allow the epoxy coating to adhere properly and pe*****te the now exposed pores in the concrete. If you don't grind the floor, the epoxy will not adhere properly, which can result in a bumpy, uneven surface that won't look good or last long.

Meet the other half of the management team, Hayden Hoffman. As the founder of Epoxy Designs, Hayden is the heart and soul behind our thriving epoxy flooring business.
A proud husband and father to two beautiful children. Hayden was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, but has called Utah home for roughly 18 years. He married his best friend, Kaitlin 13 years ago, and together they have built a life rooted in strong values and community service. This is evident through their service as foster parents to young children for the last 3+ years. Hayden has worked off & on in the construction industry his entire life, and currently owns/operates a successful home inspection company. He has done all this while working as a full-time police officer for past nine years, and continues serving in that capacity. Hayden's favorite pastime is spent being with his family, traveling with them, or riding his dirtbike.
We refer to Hayden using the acronym, OCDCEO. This is due to his (almost obsessive) keen attention to detail, and relentless pursuit of perfection. We wouldn't have it any other way.

As one of the dedicated founders and owners of Epoxy Designs, Benny Lock brings a lot to the table. Benny's experience is strong and diverse, consisting of both residential construction and ten years as a healthcare professional working as a Registered Nurse Practitioner. Benny brings a unique blend of skills and a passion for excellence to every project he focuses on. Benny has the highest level of integrity, ethics, and morals when it comes to everything/everyone he faces in life.
Benny has been a Utah resident his entire life, and is proud to call it home. He married his beautiful wife, Katie 10 years ago. Together, they have three daughters who he happily spends the majority of his free-time with.
Benny enjoys traveling with his family, bird hunting, working out, volunteering in his church callings, and fulfilling his entrepreneurial spirit. Benny is the much better looking, nicer, funnier, etc... half of the ownership team. We call him, "The Dreamer" and we wouldn't have it any other way. We can't wait for y'all to meet him.
