There’s a story I used to tell myself.

It’s the one where my stains are too deep. Where my brokenness is too broken.

It’s a story about being too much. While at the same time, not enough.

A story about my value. My worth.

But one morning, about seven years ago. As I stared long and hard at the
history of things - and determined myself too far gone and definitely too broken - these words dropped into my heart…

“Is my Son’s death on the cross not enough?”

😳

He didn’t need to explain. I knew what He meant.

Is what Jesus did not enough for me? To cover my history? To set me free?

Was His death wasted on me?

This stopped me in my tracks.

No. Jesus’s death on the cross - His brutal death - was not wasted on me.

His love. His life. His rescue mission. Not wasted.

Our sin. Our choices outside of His plan. The free will we’ve misused. The wreckage handed to us.

He covered it. Totally covered. Right there on the cross. And then through the grave.

Why? Because He loves us. Oh, how He loves us.

We’ve been rescued. Carried. Held.
Redeemed. Saved.

He is not deterred by a messy story. His love isn’t reduced by our choices.

He is unshaken. Immovable.

Completely taken by us.

So if you’re there now, believing a story never meant for you. Can I link arms with you this morning?

Let’s remember together the truth. And let’s look again to the cross.

Jesus did what no one else could do. And His death was absolutely enough.

Thank You Jesus for what You did on the cross. For loving us that much. It was enough. YOU are enough.

What if healing women who have had abortions and the men who fathered those children wasn’t the “back door” to advancing the message of life, but another “front door”? Two front doors. Both doors leading into a beautiful entry of hope, truth, and life.

Two front doors.

There is a world out there with women and men suffering from the pain of abortion. Their voices matter and there is a silent army out there waiting to be awakened. What if it was?

The life message is spread by a life that is healed.

Will you pray with us today?

Father, we pray that you would open for us a door for the the word to go forth about the truth of life, the truth of healing, the truth of the gospel. We pray we could speak the truth of those things hidden in Christ and make them clearly known, as is necessary that I speak. Lord, we ask for you to open the front doors to spread truth and healing. The life message is spread by a life that is healed. Lord, raise up an army of healed voices for life. In Jesus’ name.
