It was a good day to be a Carolina Dog!
Beauty: Best of Breed & Group 1 earning her Grand Champion title!
Stone: Champion Class win & 2 Reserve Best Veteran in Shows
Bee: Best of Breed & Group 1
And our honorary pry shep member, Gryf, got his first competition win with a Group 3.
Love spending time with friends, our dogs & the community of dog enthusiasts we are building!
One of the best things about Beauty is she’ll try just about anything with me! Here is her first exposure to sheep and learning the pattern of herding.

While we have cherished our time with Ginger, we have come to the tough conclusion that is it is time for her to find her own special person.
Ginger is a lovely horse with a lot of potential, but we wouldn’t be doing right by her to hang onto her any longer. She’ll flourish with someone who has more time to spend with her than we do!
She has taught us a lot about acceptance, respect, learning theory, overcoming trauma, and energetic connections. In addition to introducing us to the world of Marsh Tacky Horses and their American heritage!
I’d like to think that from us she has learned to approach humans with more trust and enjoyment too ❤️🐴

We had a fantastic time at the All American Bulldog Club show this past weekend with our friends!
Beauty, the Carolina Dog, earned the following awards:
Conformation: 4 Best of Breeds, 2 Group 1’s, 2 Group 2’s and 3 legs towards her Grand Championship (1 left to go now!).
Rally: Qualified in all 4 of her Rally Runs (2 1st places, 1 2nd place) with a high score of 99 earning her URO2 title.
Nosework: Qualified in both runs of Novice Vehicles (1st & 2nd place) earning her NV title.
This means she earned Total Dog awards on both Saturday & Sunday.

Beauty’s official BCAT title has arrived! This Carolina Dog is rocking it at such a young age and proving her versatility (beauty & brains)! She requires a thoughtful training approach and is teaching us lots!
So far she has 13 titles, 3 Total Dogs, 1 Best in Show and 1 Reserve Best in Specialty Show and she’s getting close on a few other titles 🤞

Sir Stone is the best Assistant Guide Dog Mobility Instructor out there 😂
He is the perfect copilot and never takes his eyes off our charges- even when I’m surprise “traffic checking” them.
May we all be so lucky to have a Carolina Dog partner!
Ashley took him this week all by himself to work on him adapting without The confidence of other dogs to assist.
Stone laid on a stage with Ashley to lecture about service dogs to 6 different organizations, stood while Ashley signed to the Deaf, enjoyed the pettings of children with autism, distracted and played with a working guide dog, went for hikes and ensured that Ashley slept well in a hotel room while snuggling all the way against her.
My wish is that everyone can experience a dog like this.

That’s a wrap on our first nationals with UKC! We truly enjoyed our time at Premier with our dogs and fellow Carolina Dog Club members! As they say, we all took the best dogs home!
Beauty achieved:
Friday-
Novice exteriors 2 Q’s and new title (a breed first for the Carolina Dog!)
Q in rally 1
Total dog qualified
Saturday-
Q in rally 1
Q in beginner novice obedience
Sunday
Q & 3rd place in rally 1
Q & 2nd place in beginner novice obedience
Reserve champion conformation
Stone achieved:
1 champion class win Saturday which gives him a grand leg
Gryf achieved:
Best of breed & variety all 3 days

2 Q’s in beginner novice obedience
It was also very exciting to end our weekend cheering on fellow Swamp Fox Dog, Lincoln, to a Group 1! He’s the first CD to receive this honor at Premier!

We are so so proud of the Carolina Dogs this weekend!
Little Beauty qualified her first Beginner Novice Obedience run, got a 95 in Rally Obedience and was stunning as always in the breed ring!
Mr. Stone came out of retirement with a bang to teach the rest of us youngins what a Carolina dog is about and took the Champion of the Champion group!
But best of all- we have been surrounded by our friends and their stunning Carolina dogs who are right there with us loving, training and displaying their dog’s versatility and beauty.

Day 1 of competition for us at Premier!
Beauty got 3 of 4 qualifying scores in her performance sports including becoming the first Carolina Dog to get a UKC Novice Exteriors in nosework!
Stone did excellent in his conformation class and Gryf our “honorary” CD 😉 Got his first qualifying score for rally 1 and beginner novice obedience!!

Day 1 at UKC’s National Show “Premier” with Beauty, Stone, and Gryf plus all of our Carolina Dog Society of America friends!
Today our dogs just got to get used to the show grounds as we cheered our friends on in top ten, nosework & dock diving.
Tomorrow our showing begins!
