Holy Moly-how is it November?! This time of year always seems to FLY by through the end of the year! A friendly reminder that Turkey, or even a special pasture raised chicken, for holiday gatherings brings the SPECIAL to a whole new level! We only have TWO pastured Turkeys left in stock until summer of 2024!! There are also a very limited amount of chicken in stock until Summer of 2024 as well. Link for products is in the comments.

We raise pastured poultry for many reasons which focus on the overall health of the chicken and its well being, as well as the synergistic and healing benefit the soil receives from the chickens. One main difference over "cheap chicken" that the consumer benefits from in this process is by receiving nutritionally superior chicken!

Pasture-raised chicken meat tends to be higher in iron, higher in Omega 3, have a lower Omega 6:3 ratio, and be higher in antioxidants (Vitamin E, for example). Pasture-raised eggs have higher Omega 3s, a lower Omega 6:3 ratio, increased vitamin D, and more antioxidants.

Look at these adorable ponies! Not related to the poultry we raise, but are newer additions to the farm this year... And I love them and love sharing them. 🥰

Look at this beautiful chicken pasture! Farmer Joe worked hard at planting and tending this new area with a wonderful soil building and chicken forage mix since last fall! These spoiled chickens get to munch on turnip and radish greens, fescue, winter peas and rye, triticale, hairy vetch, Essex r**e seed grass, 3 different types of clover, alfalfa, field peas, and flax. This diverse group of greens gives the chickens and turkeys a wonderfully varied diet that supplements their daily feed and increases their nutrient intake immensely. Not to mention that foraging is their God-given natural instinct.

With all of this rain, your farmers are giving thanks since our fields are flourishing!

I'm forever grateful to live in this country of ours where we have so many freedoms and liberties. We have continued work to do as a Nation to ensure there truly is liberty and justice for all. I'm a patriot and the flag and singing our National anthem always gives me goosebumps.
