We will be spending the first few weeks of January working hard to restock our shelves. As we begin this new year, I would like the share that we have a ton in store for 2024, some of which include new product releases.
Our first planned release will be in a few weeks, just in time for Valentines Day. We hope to make this year our best one yet !

As Christmas is quickly approaching, our supply of soaps are disappearing off the shelves. Our quantities have all been updated here on our page if you scroll through. We are so thankful to all of our customers during this busy season. If you’re still looking for a gift, or to treat yourself, we have a small supply left. We also have a variety of colored soap lifts to help extend the life of your soap, and sisal bags for when the soaps get small. Lip balms available in vanilla mint, pineapple, cucumber + melon, and lavender lemonade. Lastly, we also have small muslin bags. These bags were cut, sewn and stamped in house here at Off the Grid. They’re a great way to gift our handcrafted products.

We were trying to hold off on posting these until October but they have been flying off the shelf! If we wait any longer, there may not be any left. Next year we will increase our Halloween production. These handcrafted soaps are scented with Pumpkin Spice and colored with activated charcoal !

Thursday we were busy making bread and butter pickles and today we made peach jam ! Luckily I have a little helper who really enjoys labeling all of our canned goodies.

Next year we will be offering a variety of jams for sale. Stay tuned, we have big plans for 2024 !

As our names suggest, Off the Grid ADK NY - today we were off the grid. As we hiked 6 miles on Hurricane Mountain in Keene, NY, we had a lot of discussions about what we are going to do differently and change for the better going forward. One of the topics we discussed was sharing all of the beautiful places we visit in the Adirondacks here on our page. We thought it would be nice as some people may not ever get to see these wonderful views for various reasons and we are so fortunate to be able to do so. So here we have Hurricane Mountain - it was a bit windy and very foggy as we approached the summit but cleared up while we sat and enjoyed the view ! We hope you enjoy it as well.

We have our first babies of 2023. Two Gold Artisan Turkey poults and two Pearl Leghorn chicks. We are so excited !

We are a small family living on the edge of the Adirondack Park in upstate New York. Our lifestyle aims to help reduce waste products such as plastics by recycling, upcycling and re-use. Our goal is to live a more sustainable and self-sufficient life each year.

A few things we enjoy are growing and harvesting our own herbs, vegetables and fruit, as well as sewing and crafting. More importantly, we love the company (and eggs) our spoiled chickens provide us while homesteading on our property.

Summertime activities the whole family loves include late night bonfires, hiking, swimming, and kayaking on the St. Regis River. Outdoors is our favorite place to be!
