Had a very nice customer call me about their Estate (Whirlpool 29inch) gas dryer not drying the clothes all the way and taking a few cycles of drying just to dry one load of laundry. The single biggest culprit of this on either gas or electric dryers is airflow. I found this clump of lint blocking the hole to the blower housing creating a big blockage. Now customer says their dryer is working great and drying normal again!

Dirty ducts did a fantastic job cleaning our ducts today that have never been cleaned before! They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and were very affordable! Thank you guys!

Some very nice customers’ of mine needed a new dishwasher installed. So I INSTALLED my very first dishwasher yesterday! I mean I repair them so I should be able to install them to and I tried it yesterday and so far so good!

So my car was leaking water like crazy into the trunk every time it rained and I couldn’t understand why. So I did some investigating and found that it was leaking behind my tail light… Don’t worry I am a professional repairman so I fixed it.. with tape…. Yeah lol!

I finally got a few signs made! I only got two but hey it’s a start! I’m gonna place them wherever I can but I’m pretty excited to have come this far!

Replaced a broken belt for a very nice customer for a GE gas dryer front loader. Customer went to turn the start switch you see there on and it didn’t do anything. Almost acted like the machine was not getting power, but it was just the belt that was bad now it’s working fine!

Changed out a door lock switch on an Amana top load washer for some awesome customers that previously the light wouldn’t even come on at all even with the lid shut and it would just sit there and click over and over driving the customer nuts.

Samsung Washer rubber boot or door seal replaced for a very nice customer!

Some very nice customers called me about a dishwasher that wouldn’t do anything and when I got there there was an error code (E:06). Found out that the door switch was not plugged in. Working now!

Worked on a couple very nice customer’s Samsung bottom freezer refrigerator. This particular repair is not one I’ve done before and didn’t know it existed until this customer had a problem where the top half of the evaporator gets snowed up but the bottom gets nice and hot when it defrosts but the defrost system cannot reach the top part so it just stays iced up over and over until it gets so much ice it smacks into the evaporator fan and damages it and makes noise. This is a secondary heater system for the Samsung fridge spliced right into the defrost system.

A couple of very nice customers decided to ask me to look at their whirlpool bath bath tub while I was over their house diagnosing their electric dryer that wouldn’t heat. After I got done with their dryer they said can you look at my tub it won’t shut the jets off by the push button we have to unplug it. So after a while of searching and a lot of help from my customers we think we figured out it’s this switch that was stuck closed after you pushed the on button and off button! Guess I am an appliance repair, handyman, and…. whirlpool bath repairman??? lol!!

A very nice customer called me and told me her dishwasher had no power and the buttons were not lighting up at all as you can see in the picture. Upon inspection I figured out that the hot wire there, the black wire, I tried to check for voltage and that wire nut connector just fell off.. so I connected a much better newer wire nut with some electrical tape for a more secure connection and the dishwasher came to life again!

Took this off the back of a GE bottom freezer fridge. Customer was saying that there was water all over the floor randomly. The drain line had a lot of calcium build up and whatever that gunk was in that black piece clogging it up pretty good. More than likely this is the problem for the water all over the floor regarding the fridge leak but there could be another culprit like the drain line being frozen. Either way that gunk needs to get out!

Thermal fuse and new heating element on a Maytag 5000 series dryer replaced for some very nice customers! The heating element in the picture is the old one coming out!

Just replaced a fresh food evaporator fan for a couple very nice customers! Customers fresh food section was getting warmer and the freezer was freezing just fine.

I also just want to throw this out there. I’ve been thinking about repairing video game consoles and other small electrical appliances as well but I haven’t studied that field enough. Is there anyone out there that this could benefit if I did look into studying these sort of repairs?

So I have some exciting news! I have decided to expand my brand of Glidden Fixin Home Appliance Repair to me also being a Handyman! So basically I have decided to add handyman to my things I can do on a service call! Just changed out a gas stove igniter on a Frigidaire stove for a very nice customer! Their igniter was glowing… but the gas never came on this fixed the problem right up!

Kinda unusual because this is not an appliance I repaired but it was my car….If your back windows ever stop working for some reason and you checked the fuses… there may be a wire unplugged on the door where the window buttons are. I couldn’t make the back windows open from any switch at all until I plugged this back in!

Just replaced a control panel or touch pad/ mother board on this LG Dishwasher for a very nice customer! Customer complained that the dishwasher would shut off by itself while running. On inspection I heard it shut off I believe the power button was faulty so I replaced the whole thing and working good now!

Just replaced a door latch on a Maytag dishwasher for a very nice customer! This customer’s dishwasher door latch was broken and wouldn’t open back up easily. When we opened the dishwasher up and looked pieces were falling off the old door latch! It was time for a repair!

I just finished up with another very nice customer, they needed a new motor control board in their front load Frigidaire washer. This repair was necessary because her washer was not spinning in the beginning to balance itself out in order to start the whole process off like most washers do. It was just sitting there with the timer going down and making noises but wasn’t spinning. It turned out that through using the diagnostic mode, their motor control board was faulty. Now it’s spinning and running fine! This picture is the old one I took off and what it looks like on the inside.

Just replaced an inverter board for a very nice customer! Customer had a power outage and her fridge started defrosting and the compressor no longer was running. Replacing the inverter board that’s attached to the compressor can potentially fix this issue if everything else is running like it should and you have a problem. Now the compressor is running good!

Just replaced a Maytag 2000 Front load washer door boot for a customer! Sometimes the rubber boot or bellows gets ripped and starts to leak.

Just got a new upper damper put in for a customer with a GE Refrigerator. This is the old one! This fix can help with airflow problems on your refrigerator where the fresh food side is getting too hot or too cold.
