Victory! After a long and challenging campaign, we are incredibly honored and humbled to have been elected as Franciscan University Student Government's next President and Vice President. Before anything else, we want to congratulate Emma Vansuch, Patrick O'Brien, and all their supporters on a hard-fought campaign. Although this isn't the result you guys wanted, we want to address you directly when we say that we will do everything we can to represent your concerns and to serve you during our time in office, and we hope as well to connect with Emma and Pat over the summer to continue to hear their perspective and get their insights into how we can best serve the student body.

We also want to take this opportunity to thank the many, many people who made this win possible; we'll be reaching out to you all personally in the coming days, but for now we want to especially thank our families and friends who've put up with us during the stress of the campaign. We also want to thank directly our incredible cabinet team, as well as the nearly 200 students who made up our campaign team. You guys have been amazing, and we're so proud of the grassroots movement on campus which you've helped us to create. And most of all, we want to thank Jesus Christ, our King, recognising that "every perfect gift is from above" (Jam 1:17). We hope the whole student body will join us in August in consecrating the 2020-1 Student Government term to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

As we said at the beginning, we know this has been a tough campaign, and at times a heated one. Now the work begins to bring campus together in working towards the goals which we were elected on, and especially our overarching goal of being the Voice of the Students and making Student Government mean something in a way it hasn't done in the past. Please pray for us as we begin this process; we can't want to get started.

- Naish & Clem

Very proud to have earned the endorsement of Students for Life, whose mission really does make them one of the most important clubs on campus!

We are happy to announce that Students for Life-FUS is endorsing Sirilla-Harrold for FUS Student Body President, for the election being held on May 1 and 2. While SG has always been supportive of SFL on campus, we know that Naish and Clem will do everything in their power to help Franciscan’s student body become even more invested in the pro-life movement. They have plans to increase attendance for Abortion Clinic Outreach, one of the most important activities Franciscan runs, and they also plan to have a Pro-Life Day on campus.

TEAM BIO: "I'm Clem Harrold and I'm a Junior majoring in Philosophy and Theology and minoring in German and Latin. I have six awesome siblings, and home for me is the rural county of Wiltshire in south-west England. I've served as a Resident Assistant in Gaming, Austria, and I'm currently a senator on Student Government. I'm also founder & president of the Veritas Society. As a lover of all things American, I like to point out that I've been to McDonald's on 4 continents!

Having been blessed to serve as both a club leader and an RA, I've had plenty of occasions to appreciate what an amazing place Franciscan is. I've also seen the areas where we need to continue to grow, and I've experienced firsthand just how much untapped potential Student Government has. I'm proud to be running as Naish's VP because I believe that together we have the opportunity to use the voice and budget of Student Government to achieve an incredible amount of good on campus."
