🐝Russ and I got home from a bee expo in Kentucky last night - 3000 beekeepers all talking bees - it was unbeelievable! Anyhow,on the long, long drive home yesterday we had lots of time to discuss our next flavors to make and decided on Key Lime and Peach Cobbler. I tried some of each at the expo and they’re soooo good! I’ll let you know how they turn out!🐝

Tomorrow is our last event of the year - Bobbin’ Bobber brewery from 10-4 in Hutchinson. This one is so much fun - come and enjoy a craft beer, eat at one of the yummy food trucks and shop from the awesome vendors!

🎄Small Town Honey has 4 events left this year - we will be in Bird Island today from 9-3, Sacred Heart tomorrow from 3-6, next Friday Dec 1 at Cultural Center 5-7 and wrap it up at the Bobbin’ Bobber in Hutchinson Dec 2 from 9-3. Russ and I sincerely thank all of you for supporting our little honey business. We’ve met some amazing people this past year and have had so much fun! Have a wonderful holiday season!🎄

We’ve been making beeswax lotion and creamed honey like crazy to get ready for the Dassel-Cokato Craft Fair! We’ll be in the east gym so stop by and pick up some of the tastiest honey ever! It also makes great Xmas gifts🎁🎄🐝🍯

We have Peanut Butter Honey! Russ figured out how to get it to the right consistency after months of trying! It will be ready in about 2 weeks!🥜🍯

We just made a batch of Pure Grace beeswax hand cream. For those of you familiar with Philosophy products - it smells just like their lotion! Our house smells sooo good!

“Small Town Honey began when my husband, Russ, began watching bee videos 5 years ago. He is now beekeeping 19 hives which produced over a ton of honey last summer! Out of all that honey we now sell runny (regular) honey, creamed honey (yummy) hot honey (which will curl your toes) and beeswax hand creams (it’ll fix your cracked hands and heels). Russ and I make it all in our kitchen and dining room - which creates quite a sticky mess!

We are making elderberry honey. We got black elderberries from Ukraine that are full of flavor and antioxidants. It will be ready in 10-14 days!

Squidfest! Granite Falls! Honey! Be There!

It's that time of year again for Squid Kringla, the newest item in our lineup of invertebread octopastries. It's the Kringla you know and love, but with tentacles, suckers, and a proportionally impressive eye. With Squid Fest, one of the most well-known squid-themed events in the American Midwest, going on in Granite Falls this week, this is a great time to stop by Carl's, and indulge in edible squid without eating, you know, actual squid.
