Since the end of the pandemic, I've made it my goal to see as much love music as possible. You know, just in case there's ever a crazy global shutdown again.

For the past 2+ years, I've managed to get to at least one show a month.

So here's a playlist of all the incredible artists I was lucky enough to catch love in 2023 (excluding covers bands/classical).

Don't worry - the Senior Assistant is still hard at work. He's been trying to train the new hire, but she's usually too busy goofing off.

The new assistant hasn't quite gotten the hang of things yet, but she's getting there.

Our wild-eyed ghost child has finally emerged. She spends most of her free time weaving between my feet and screaming, wanting to play. She keeps herself fairly well-entertained with toys and my houseplants. Still not quite sure how she feels about the dog, but she does drive-by sniffs while he's busy eating.

It's only been two weeks - looking forward to seeing Lou continue to come out of her shell.

Hired a new assistant last weekend. Her name is Lou (they thought she was a boy when she was first found as a kitten), and she's very, very shy.

I'm beginning to think that we don't have a cat, we have a haunting. 👻

Glimpses of a fast-moving shadow, strange noises in the night and things out of place in the morning.

We've had accidental encounters, and she's slunk back off to hide every time.

But she's exploring more (as long as we're asleep or not around), eating well, and dusting under all the furniture.

Hopefully there will be better pictures soon. Because she is also very, very cute.

An early Christmas gift from my mom - some very me, very fun new writing implements. It's like she knows me.

Said goodbye to one of my assistants today.

The loss of a pet is crushing, and my husband and I are devastated that our Becky is gone from our lives. She began having seizures in late Spring, and although they were controlled by meds, was still slowly declining.

She let us know yesterday it was her time, and we made the decision this morning to send her off before she could suffer.

Becky was not only the Most Beautiful Cat in the World, she was also the sweetest. And maybe the laziest.

Ma'am, you will be forever missed. 💔

Yup, that be me.

Somehow missed that this was released almost 2 weeks ago (though to be fair, I was starting a new job).

But it's a chilly, rainy weekend. Perfect binge-reading weather.

Yes, I still exist! - N.M. Auger Damn, have I been bad at maintaining this blog. In fact, this is only the second actual post since I started it back in the spring. Oops. But in my defense, it's been a crazy summer. Way too much going, and not all of it was great. I'll start with the not-so-fun stuff. My assistants,

Happy 11th Adoptaversary to Becky! Not the most flattering picture of the most beautiful cat in the world, but she was showing off her sabre teeth.

Happy 13th Adoptaversary to Ozzie, the littlest old man and least helpful (but barkiest) assistant.

Still on vacation. A day of mostly cruising means maybe reworking some 'Better Half.'
