Last Friday marked the four year anniversary of DM Craftsmen as a registered business. Each year we celebrate being business owners, having such a fantastic crew of people and all of the great things God has done through our business that year, by hosting a fall dinner party in our backyard.

This years dinner included a giant tent (thank you InTents Events), firepit, family games and prizes and our annual pumpkin toss contest. We enjoyed wonderful weather and great food, thank you to all who came and helped make this DM dinner celebration a success!

This photo is from early on when we jumped into this world of entrepreneurship. I noticed right away how "well rested" we looked and we had a baby at the time. 🤣

We had no idea what was coming...
The countless hours we invest.
The weight of responsibility.
The deep dive into the business life.
The late nights spent on a computer.
The very late nights spent on a computer.
The very, very late nights spent on a computer.
The times when we go days without talking much - each busy in our roles.
The messy, chaotic life.
The math. Oh, the math.
The many moving parts and pieces.

We also had no idea the blessings that were coming...
The times when God worked and provided - ALWAYS!
The days we could enjoy as a family.
The amazing crew we have that are the best kind of people.
The customers who would become mentors and friends.
The encouragement along the way.
The ability to use our skills and gifts to their fullest.
The amount of gratitude.
The many small business owners who stepped in to guide us.
The dear friends who pray faithfully for this each week.
The opportunity to take the kids to work and teach them the trade.
The satisfaction at the end of the day knowing God is building this thing and we get to be part of it.

Team Spotlight: Solomon Hedger

Solomon is our Logistics Craftsman and we are thankful for him and the great work he does for DM. About his job he says, "I love organizing our tools and materials, so that our team of carpenters have the resources to build bigger, better, and more efficiently!"

His current goals are to organize the tool and material inventory, keep up to date with warranties, and to become a better carpenter!

Apart from work, Solomon can be found reading, enjoying a movie, or rock climbing. He also enjoys collecting and playing trading card games (TGC's). He and his wife are expecting their second child soon and we are excited for what the future holds for their family.

It’s finished! 🎉 It has a dignified kind of air to it doesn’t it? The columns turned out so well and all the finish details are perfection. Great work team!

We removed and replaced about 85% of the wood trim on this beautiful Tudor style home. We tore down a chimney, painted the existing doors and the remaining exterior of the house.

The finished product is a clean refresh and a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy!

There is nothing better than a brand new kitchen in an old house.

Historic houses like this late 1800's home have so much character and being able to completely overhaul the kitchen, bringing it back to new life and adding new character, was a joy.

Everything is brand new, electrical, plumbing, cabinets, fixtures, appliances, flooring, paint, it has all been redone and it turned out beautifully!

The covered patio is coming along beautifully. We recently installed the crown molding on the ceiling which will also hold rope lighting. Those finish carpentry details take a project up a notch.
