Friends - tomorrow is Election Day and I can’t wait to vote for William King for District 6 City Councilor. William is practical and will bring us back to the basics of good governance - constituents services and advocacy. He will not be a distraction and will work to unite the neighborhoods.
There is now a new brand of MAGA progressive out there pushing alternative facts, choosing ideology over behavior, and dividing everyone and everything for one person instead of being for a cause. The theories about the incumbent’s car accident border on QAnon. Ignore the noise and vote for the person that you want to vote for on Tuesday and pray that everyone accepts the results.
Everyone knows that I am big believer in voting for progressives up and down the ballot and that is why I am proud to support Felix D. Arroyo for Suffolk County Register of Probate. He deserves another 6 year term and I am proud to support him. Felix D. Arroyo
Folks, I can see the 4th Congressional District from my house in West Roxbury. We have an opportunity to send another pro-choice champion, and a badass woman, to Congress to represent the 4th Congressional District.
Jesse Mermell is a fearless leader on reproductive freedom. As a former Planned Parenthood organizer and the youngest board member of the Austin Planned Parenthood, I couldn’t be more proud to support Jesse. How amazing would it be to have someone who actually worked at a Planned Parenthood in Congress? Jesse doesn’t just pay lip service to a woman’s right to decide her own destiny -- she stood with women day in and day out as they entered the clinic on Comm Ave, and has worked every day since to make sure their voices are heard on Beacon Hill and beyond.
As the leader of the Alliance for Business Leadership, Jesse led a coalition of businesses to fight for the ACCESS Bill and the ROE Act. In Congress, I know she will continue to fight for reproductive healthcare for every person across the country. She also helped pass the state’s Paid Family Leave law. I can go on and on about Jesse.
If you live in the 4th, vote for Jesse! And if you don’t, you can follow, amplify, and contribute at www.jessemermell.com or Jesse Mermell for Congress.
Jesse Mermell for Congress | Bold, Progressive Leadership Jesse Mermell has spent her life taking on the toughest fights — both big and small — to serve Massachusetts and turn our progressive ideas into reality.
I don't know about you, but I am thrilled to be able to vote to send an infectious disease physician to Congress. Dr. Robbie Goldstein is a progressive leader who will fight for us every day in Washington, and I'm proud to support his primary challenge to Stephen Lynch.
Robbie will be ready to lead in Congress on day one, and I personally do not want to keep living in a world here our Representatives can kick the can down the road -- on pandemic response, on the Green New Deal, or on real action to dismantle systemic racism in our country. I'm voting for Robbie because I know he will tackle these issues head on.
I hope you'll join me in sending a pro-choice champion to Congress. Vote Dr. Robbie Goldstein for !
Stephanie Everett is one of the most inspiring women I have ever met. I’m jealous of every 12th Suffolk resident who gets to vote for her this fall. Stephanie and I met in 2016, and as the only two women in a crowded field, we bonded on the trail.
Stephanie Everett for State Representative is the leader we need in the State House. As a former staffer on Beacon Hill, an attorney, and a mom to nine children, Stephanie knows how to get things done and will be an incredible force for good. I’m proud to support her and I hope you’ll join me.
Learn more about Stephanie by following her on Facebook Stephanie Everett for State Representative or on her website, http://www.everettforstaterep.com/.
Have I mentioned lately that we need more badass women in office? My friend Gretchen Van Ness (aka Gretchen Van Ness for State Representative) has been a champion of progressive causes her entire career and the 14th Suffolk District needs her on Beacon Hill yesterday. I know she will work tirelessly to rebuild an equitable post-Covid Boston, because she has spent her entire career fighting for equity, justice, and opportunity for every person in our communities.
In 2019, this district sent a strong message that they are tired of the status quo when they overwhelmingly sent Councilor Arroyo to City Hall. In March of this year, they followed up with an encore vote by wiping out their entire Ward committee and electing a fresh, diverse slate of progressive community leaders. I’m proud to endorse Gretchen and hope you will vote for her in the Democratic Primary.
You can learn more about Gretchen, why she’s running, and why she’s the best candidate in this race on her website, http://www.gretchenvanness.org, for by following her on Facebook at Gretchen Van Ness for State Representative!
Gretchen Van Ness Gretchen Van Ness is running to be your State Representative in the 14th Suffolk District. She is a Democrat, a woman, an attorney, and your neighbor.
It’s that time of year again: voting season! Many of you started following this page when I first ran for office in 2016. To say the least, a lot has happened since then. I may not be an elected official, but I am proud to continue working to elect badass progressive candidates who will work every day to level the playing field and ensure that we have people at every level of government fighting for us.
Abigail and Cecile are ready for progressive leadership up and down the ballot. I hope you’ll join us!
Today's the day! Make sure you vote, tell 5 friends, then tell 5 more.
And by tell them, I mean text them.
Happy Election Day!
One of the best things about running for office as an Emerge Massachusetts alum is the network of awesome women you get to know and learn from. So proud to have your support, Lydia!
Proud to have the support of The Boston Globe for our campaign to bring progressive leadership to the Registry!
“The Globe endorses Forde in the Sept. 4 Democratic primary. If the way she’s campaigned is a sign of how she’d run the registry, the county would be lucky to have her.”
Endorsement: Katie Forde would bring new energy to Suffolk Registry of Deeds - The Boston Globe The Globe editorial board endorses Katie Forde in the Suffolk Registry of Deeds race.
As the daughter of an Air Force veteran, I was extremely proud to co-sponsor a hearing happening TODAY at 1:00 PM with my colleague Boston City Councilor Ed Flynn for Boston City Council discussing the outreach of the Office of Veterans’ Services and opportunities and challenges facing Veterans and Military Families in the City of Boston.
Following the hearing, Councilor Flynn will hosting a Boston Veterans and Military Family Resource Fair with resources from the City of Boston Veterans Commission, SAVE Team (Crisis), MA Veterans Bonus, MASS HIRE Vets Coordinator, State Street, Dept. of Veterans Affairs - Boston Healthcare System, VA Boston Healthcare System, VA Homeless Program, Brighton Marine, Mass Housing, Home Base Program, Mass Fallen Heroes of Iraq & Afghanistan, Vet2VetLGBT, New England Center and Home for Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Dept. of Vets Services, Massachusettes Military Heroes Fund, American Gold Star Mothers, Inc., and last but least the Women Veterans Network.
Hope to see you there!

Just 3 weeks to go! Join our team today and help us bring progressive leadership to the Registry! https://buff.ly/2IsFNRD
What an incredible week. In the past 7 days, Maura Healey, Russell E. Holmes, and now City Councilor Kim Janey have joined our campaign to bring meaningful, progressive leadership to the Registry.
Since before she ran for office, Maura Healey has made protecting homeowners a priority. As the Chief of Public Protection in the Attorney General’s Office, AG Healey led the innovative HomeCorps program to protect homeowners dealing with foreclosure in the wake of the mortgage crisis. She has continued that work as Attorney General, including securing millions of dollars in relief for hundreds of Massachusetts residents in a settlement with a national mortgage servicer earlier this year.
As a community leader in Mattapan and now as a State Rep, Russell E. Holmes is an incredible organizer and advocate for sustainable community development. His work to expand financial literacy and advocate for innovative solutions to the challenge of saving for a down payment are critical for expanding access to homeownership and closing the wealth gap, and I look forward to partnering in that work.
City Councilor Kim Janey is an amazing activist and community organizer. From working to eliminate opportunity gaps for every child in our city, to expanding access to voting and political participation for women, to becoming the first woman to ever represent District 7, she is a fearless leader.
With less than a month to go, I'm reflecting on the team and momentum we continue to build. I am so grateful for the opportunity to share my vision for this office, and I look forward to working with these incredible leaders to expand access to homeownership, protect consumers, and help families and seniors stay in their homes and in our communities.
Thank you for being a part of this.
See you tomorrow night!
I am so proud to welcome Russell E. Holmes to !
Rep. Holmes grew up in Boston, has raised his family here, and is a model for others striving to do the same. I’m honored to have his support, and I look forward to working together to make sure every family has the same chance to stay and build their lives in our city.

to hanging with my original , Ann Richards.
As election day gets closer, I think about my favorite quotes of hers, especially this one: "I did not want my tombstone to read, 'She kept a really clean house.' I think I'd like them to remember me by saying, 'She opened government to everyone." (Sorry Jeff.)
Have you moved or turned 18 since the last election? The deadline to register to vote is August 15 -- make sure your voice is heard in this year's primary!
