Asym Spi on a catamaran?

Absolutely! An asym spinnaker on a cat is great.

You can tack it on the center line. You can also use a little bowsprit or bow extension as on most cats it is difficult to set the tack block for the asym far enough from the genoa furler.

Alternatively an asym on the windward bow works great as it clears the sail from the main shadow, and allows a large(r) sail area.
Use a top down furler to make it easy to change the tack from bow to bow.

Have you considered a furler for your asymmetrical spinnaker / gennaker?
Get your spinnaker flying right off the cockpit! Hoist your spinnaker easily and be ready in a minute!
Dousing is very as easy, just release the sheet and pull on the furling line. This is perfect especially if you are sailing shorthanded.
Furl the sail before gybing and then easily re-deploy on the other side.

« J’ai eu l’occasion de pouvoir sortir l’asymétrique quelques fois avec du temps léger et la voile correspond bien à mes attentes.
Mon bateau, un X-79 a un gréement fractionel avec une importante grand-voile et un triangle avant plutôt modéré. Au portant et au travers, surtout sous génoa 3 (110%), on remarque rapidement que le bateau peut se permettre plus de puissance. C’est là que l’asymétrique remplit sa tâche, dès 4 noeuds de vent. La coupe est modérée, pas comparable aux immenses spis de régates, mais ceci le rend facilement maniable et polyvalent. On l’utilise sans chaussette, ceci me semble pas nécessaire pour un spi de cette taille.
La qualité de fabrication semble très durable et les couleurs, la taille et la coupe correspondent exactement aux simulations montrées avant fabrication. Je suis très content du service fourni par iSpinnakers!”
