Many marketing firms and small businesses don’t understand SEO, and many marketing firms have no business selling it because they execute it incorrectly. SEO is more than just gaming Google, getting you to rank for useless keywords and having someone tell you that you’re ranking for 10,000 keywords that no human being searches.

Your research should validate SEO with a giant spreadsheet of keywords with search volume that has a strategy and how to make you rank for all of them over the course of years.

If you have 6000 products on your website like an e-commerce business, expect to spend $60,000 on SEO. Realistically, every one of those products has to be optimized to rank. If someone’s quoting you 300 bucks a month for SEO, it’s probably not a sound strategy. SEO is complicated.
