About the songs : Wig Closet and Ode to a Sunday

Both of these songs were written to address two mental states, one that involves spirituality, and one in a place completely without. Weirdly enough the two can go hand in hand sometimes. Using love as the metaphor for both, these songs are quite dramatic, and super fun to play.

Wig Closet is about a person who has used spirituality as a place to avoid their problems, and when they begin to question some of the inconsistencies, they enter a hopeless space, as the foundations crumble beneath them. Instead of a person, the essence of the belief is being addressed, and it displays a type of love lost.

Ode to a Sunday dives the opposite hole, nihilism, and what it means to feel a lack of purpose. Its chaos brings an anxious tone to the song, as well as a jump between major and minor scales, with the intention of creating a manic feeling.

Greyhound releases NEXT WEEK! This is a pandemic record, which happened to be my entrance into adulthood :( so it covers a lot of different topics. I created a character for this album, based off of my own personal experience and observations within America, through lots of solo travel during the pandemic. It covers mental health, love, religion, family, the culture of self-destruction, people born into vicious cycles and systems, atheism, and more.
