We have so many great parks is Sarasota County. Oscar Scherer is a state park, centrally located. Our family has had large gatherings by the main lake, small playgroups by the South Creek Trail. It is a great place to take your dog for a walk. We have even biked on the Legacy Trail the back entrance.

With a disturbance headed our way, it is a good time to think about getting our supplies for this hurricane season.
It is best if not everyone run out at once to get supplies, while in the store grab a couple items and add to your hurricane preparedness kit.
During a normal hurricane season our shelves become empty, with so many new residents, I think it is a good idea to prepare before the storm.
Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday is through June 10th.
