Job Description:
Assist owner/ CEO with general labor on land clearing, road building, land maintenance & hand labor.

Looking for someone with some experience in land clearing and the ability to operate tractors and power tools such as chain saws, etc.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

We utilize heavy equipment for larger projects, as well as chain saws and hand tools for smaller projects and finishing details.

MULCHING & HAUL OFF SERVICES

Options are provided on what to do with the excess material from cleared land. Depending on the type and amount of material cleared, if you prefer to keep the material on your land, we can mulch and spread the material to return nutrients to the soil and leave an organic top layer. If the material is cedar or invasive species, we can haul that away for you.

DEMOLITION

CTX Landworks can handle demolition of old homes, barns and other structures in rural areas that need removed to make room for your new construction, open your view, or make the ground available for other uses.

RETAINING WALLS & ROCK WORK

Retaining walls are used to prevent erosion and as a way to laterally support soil mass, preventing the collapse of ground that is on a higher level onto that of a lower level. CTX Landworks is available to build retaining walls for areas with steep grades and sharp drops in terrain to help stabilize your property. Additionally, we can remove quantities of smaller rocks on agricultural and farm land for mowing purposes.

UNDERGROUND UTILITY TRENCHING

Underground utility trenches are a large part of any construction project and are needed for a variety of services that connect to a building through underground pipes or conduit. After identifying the location of existing underground pipes and cables in the area, we will determine the depth and slope that your project requires and carefully plan the trench route to minimize property damage. Once the trenching is complete, our underground utility contractors will prepare the pipelines and conduits to be laid for the various services, including electricity, phone, cable, gas, water, sewer, and sprinkler systems, to the house. Burying these lines will enhance your view and make it easier to maintain your property.

PRIVATE ROAD CONSTRUCTION

Rural land will usually require new roads to be constructed so you can traverse from the main road to the area you want to build on. Regardless of whether your needs are for a straight road, up a hillside, or curve through the terrain, CTX Landworks can create the necessary private roads through your property. We primarily use road base and crushed granite but can source other materials you may be interested in using. We can also create trails and pathways, build masonry entrances to the property, install metal gates and gate openers, and provide driveway grading. Additional services include creation of fire breaks, clearing for fence lines and right of ways, and landscaping.

LAND LEVELING, GRADING & DRAINAGE

Land in Central Texas is rarely level. That is why land leveling and grading are among the most common needs for rural property owners and commercial builders. Reshaping the terrain after clearing will most likely be necessary prior to building to ensure a level building plat with proper drainage that does not pond, flood or cause foundation settlement. Our team utilizesstandard equipment to smooth out, build up, and level uneven land surfaces.

LAND CLEARING

Preparing land for development starts with getting the large media out of the way – cutting and removing trees that are in the construction path, removing cedar and invasive species that suck all of the groundwater out of the land, and clearing the unsightly underbrush that can be a fire hazard. Once the trees and brush are removed, we will either mulch or haul away the debris so you can move on to the next step in the process.
