Tn Mama Bears KP
Nashville native & mother of 3. Just a Mama Bear trying to help other parents have a voice. I'm a proud mother of three, born and raised in Nashville.
I stand for focusing on our children and getting them graduating with good grades - something the school board are failing to do. I'm against mask mandates, teaching radical politics in class like CRT - and stand for making sure the school board is transparent with the school funds it's entrusted with. We need a school board that listens to parents and puts them in control!
Congrats to Congressman Andy Ogles on his win yesterday! He is here for us! Praying for you and all other elected officials as you take on DC! Always know this Mama Bear is here fighting with you too!
Just a note from a frustrated parent trying to use a website that was given millions of dollars, every time you try to request a verification email it doesn't come through. If you read through the comments on the original article several parents were having the same problem. We need to make sure the money that is allocated for such things is used properly so that parents have access to the resources they need.
Hi, families! Permissions forms are due tomorrow, August 26.

Well, we have a newly elected School Board. So let's see what they do with this. So many kids are behind academically and emotionally because of all of the lockdowns and being kept out of classrooms for longer than any other County around us. Now the CDC releases new information basically saying that if you get covid none of the old guidelines apply whether you are vaccinated or not. Many parents like myself were actually labeled domestic terrorists by our government for merely questioning all of this when it first started. Now children are at risk of being held back when this was avoidable.
New Tennessee law says 3rd graders can be held back if they don't pass state reading test Thousands of third graders across Tennessee are at risk of getting held back this school year because of a new law.

Oh my goodness, my baby girl is a Senior! Where did the time go? It seems like just yesterday she was her brother's age getting ready to start Mother's Day Out. Now she is a beautiful, intelligent, young lady ready to take on the world! I couldn't be more proud of you sweet girl. I love you so much and can't wait to see what you go out into the world and do!
Do all students starting school today in Davidson county, I wish you the best of days! For all those parents that may be anxious, just know we are all in this together! I hope everyone has a blessed day. Let's get the 2022 school year off and rolling!

Any Journey that you begin because you are passionate about it and put your heart and soul into it cannot be considered a loss even when numbers aren't in your favor... I lost an election but I did not lose my purpose or voice- that remains!
I stood firm in my convictions and represented my faith and my God the best way I knew how. I came out a winner because of the people that I have met and seeing how truly good people can be. I have been blessed to have the best supporters any person could ask for. For that, I am forever humbled and thankful.
I pray for all newly elected officials for the wisdom and discernment necessary to fulfill their duties. The children of Nashville now depend on them. So for them, we must all come together for the greater good!
I have learned so much over the past year and a half on the road that led up to yesterday. From the bottom of my heart I thank you all for your love, support, and faith in me to represent you had I been given the opportunity. My journey has only just begun, and I am already working on the next chapter. I hope everyone has a great weekend! I know I will be enjoying some much needed family time.
To my family and friends.... A special thank you and I love u!!!
1st voter of the day for Team Mama Bear! Let's do this!!!
I would be honored to have your vote on Thursday August 4! Polls are open from 7am-7pm. THANK YOU!
I would be honored to have your vote on Thursday August 4! Despite a $1bn+ a year in funding, the Metro Public Schools board have created a situation where fewer than 1 in 3 public schools children can read at grade level, potentially life-saving scanning equipment worth millions is laying in boxes, unused - and millions have been wasted on admin. They have also wasted money on consultants, while good teachers and staff await more resources and pay. Please vote for me someone you can trust to speak up for all children and parents. Thank you! GoVoteTN Voters who vote in person during early voting or on Election Day must present a photo ID issued by the federal or Tennessee state governments. These IDs may be current or expired.
