For this cake, I had to do a little research. So...I went to Chipotle and ordered a delicious burrito to figure out how they layered their burritos. It took the person behind the counter about 2 minutes to put my burrito together. This cake took much much longer than that.

I can call my self a Mad Scientist since I am a food scientist that can go mad from time to time. Making creative and yummy treats for all of you!

To my dear friend Patti who has been my biggest cheerleader and supporter of my new adventure. The last year has been a difficult one for you and you dedicated your birthday party to your late husband. I remember the view of the sunset you and him always talked about which in turn gave me an idea for your cookies and cake. It was a treat to witness the beautiful sunset in person during your party. I wish for you new and happy beginnings.

You may call me vanilla but this is my favorite cake combination…. pound cake with vanilla buttercream. Decorated with petite white roses with painted gold accents and 24k gold leaf. I may have to bake another one for myself.

So Succulent! White cake with strawberry buttercream and fresh strawberries. Handmade fondant succulents.

I couldn't help but hum "Putting on the Ritz" when making these cookies. Great addition to a girly Christmas Party!
