URGENT Foster or Adopter Needed!!
This sweet girl, Judy (aka Q) is one of the cats from the Sylmar hoarding situation that we helped out with back in 2021. She is losing her housing and needs someone to give her the love and attention she deserves.
She can be a little slow to open up to humans, but she loves other cats and would be a great companion to a lonely kitty.

I’m sure we’ve all heard the statistics, but to reiterate- black cats have a much harder time finding a home than other cats. Add to it that she’s an adult (about 4-5 years old) and somewhat shy, and her chances of finding a loving and patient forever family are pretty slim.
Please help us beat the odds and find her someone who will love her and shower her with all the affection she deserves!

FOSTER NEEDED! Urgent! - ❗️This sweet little one was found in a high coyote area 3 nights ago. The family that found her is unfortunately allergic and they can’t keep fostering her. The shelters all told them to turn her back outside and have her take her chances with the coyotes 😤

Can anyone step up to foster her?

It’s absolutely horrible to have to share such devastating news, and it’s even more awful to have to talk about money when the ending to the story is so heartbreaking, but if there’s anything you feel moved to give, it would be appreciated. 🌈 Rest in Peace, little Soot Soot (formerly Fencepost) 🌈
Her injuries were too extensive and she couldn’t recover. She passed over the rainbow bridge today being held and loved and is no longer in pain.

Thank you to everyone who donated towards her care. We still have a good chunk of today’s vet bill to pay, so if you feel moved to help us with that, it would be deeply appreciated. Thank you for all the care and love the community poured out for this little one. She’s at peace now. 💔🌈

URGENT 🆘 Medical Funds Needed! 🆘
Little Fencepost’s (now called Soot Soot) injuries seem to be even more extensive than had been originally thought. The vet needs to do imaging to confirm, but it’s looking likely that she has an internal injury to her colon, as well as trauma and nerve damage at the base of her tail (in addition to her broken tail). If she pulls through this, she will definitely need surgery.

Here is the estimate so far for the exams and imaging. Please help us raise funds so we can try to give her every chance at survival 🙏 Every little bit helps!

This sweet little kitten (who we’ve nicknamed “Fencepost”) was found by our friends at stuck in a fence along the side of a busy road.

They got the kitten unstuck and rescued it, but the poor little thing has injuries from the fence, as well as a bad parasite infestation and a possible re**al injury.

Our medical funds are completely depleted after the dozen+ medical cases we had this summer, so we really need help from the community to be able to get this kitten the help it needs. Anything you give would really help and go straight towards this kitten’s care.

Kitten season here and it’s a big one.

Every year, in the months between March-September, the majority of all kittens for the year will be born. The biggest boom is March-May, and when it happens rescues and shelters become absolutely swamped with newborn kittens and pregnant moms.

All of the kittens (plus more) that you see here came from ONE colony. 3 months ago, that colony had 5 female cats.
Today? If we hadn’t caught those 5, they would have had at least 16. By October they would have had at least 26, and by a year from now that number would be over 50. That’s JUST the female cats- that doesn’t even include the boys.
Luckily, with help from the colony caretakers, our fosters, and our friends and , we were able to get all 5 of the moms and their kittens, and we can finally end that colony’s cycle of kittens for good.

Doing something like this takes a village- it takes a lot of hard work, teamwork, and resources. Donations- be it those of time, food, litter, or money for medical care- are how we keep going.

If you feel moved to donate time or resources to the cause, please reach out. And, in the meanwhile, please send your local rescuers any good thoughts/prayers/vibes you’ve got to spare- kitten season is hard and we certainly need them!

Chonks Update: Chonks has been released from the hospital! He urgently needs a foster (or adopter) who can look out for him as he recovers and ensure he only eats his new vet food. Can anyone foster him?

He’s currently detached from all the tubes you see, and is back on his way to being his normal sweet, playful self.

Mama is getting spayed tomorrow, but needs somewhere to live until she has finished nursing her babies in about 5 weeks.

CHONKS UPDATE: He had the emergency catheter put in last night, and this morning he was transferred to a second vet who will hospitalize him for the next 3-5 days until he begins to recover.

Urgent Help Needed 🙏 Our foster kitten Chonks has a life threatening bladder blockage and needs an urgent medical procedure to save his life. I’m at the emergency vet with him now and they’re prepping him to go under anesthesia.

The estimate is looking like $1000-$1600 for the surgery tonight, and then he will have to be transferred to a different vet to be hospitalized for 48-72 hours while he recovers, which will probably run $300-$600 a day, depending on what he needs and what vet has space to take him.

If you can give anything to help him, I’d really, really appreciate it. It’s kitten season and we’re all completely stretched. Everyone is concentrating on the newborn kittens, but sometimes older kittens like this sweet boy need help too ❤️‍🩹
