Leave these bees alone!!

If you see something like this, you're looking at a swarm of honeybees resting while finding a new place to live. Please DO NOT call an exterminator! This is how honeybees reproduce and this happens several times a year, but mostly in the spring. They will land in trees, on buildings and yes, even on cars to rest.

Do not spray with pesticides or water. In this form, they are non-aggressive and you don't need to do anything at all except call us right away

Please help educate others! If you have bees living in a structure or if a swarm is really in your way, Ontario Bee Rescue can help with those

Do NOT spray your dandelions this spring!!

PLEASE READ (and Like our Page), Spring will be here soon: This is a honey bee. The pollen on her legs is from dandelions. The bee is now dead, with her tongue out.
It’s spring, dandelions are the bees first food. Bees can die/be harmed from w**d killer spread on what we see as w**ds, but what nature sees as food. Please don’t spray for w**ds until you see the blackberries blooming. In this area, w**ds, flowers and fruit trees are bees only source of food until middle of June. There are FAR more w**ds than flowers or fruit trees, so it's their only food source. No bees, no food crops for us.

If You Are A Night Owl Then You Need To Build Your Very Own Magical Moon Garden 06/02/2020

Here are the night blooming plants you can plant in your garden:

Angel’s Trumpet: It has trumpet-shaped, white flowers which open at night.

Night Gladiolus: It is not nocturnal, but its creamy yellow flowers smell the strongest at night.

Tuberose (Tender Bulb): This richly fragrant bulb was a Victorian favorite and can be planted in containers or beds, two to three inches deep

Queen of the Night: Queen of the night only blooms once every one or two years, but the nocturnal cactus can open several large flowers at once on summer nights.

Moonflower: It blooms at night and releases a slightly lemony scent when it opens up. Its flowers are about 5 – 6″ in diameter and are tightly shut during the day.

Evening Primrose: This perennial has pale pinkish-white flowers, with a pleasant aroma, and spreads rapidly.

Night Phlox: They open up at dusk, and their aroma is similar to the one of honey or vanilla.

Evening Stock: Its tiny purple and pink flowers smell divine when they open at night.

Dragonfruit Cactus: the beautiful, exotic dragonfruit comes from a night-blooming cactus, and its flower only opens up for a single night before withering the next morning.

If You Are A Night Owl Then You Need To Build Your Very Own Magical Moon Garden If you are a night owl, you should know that you can plant your own moon garden and get in touch with Nature during the night. Namely, there are beautiful plants and flowers that bloom at night, and their soothing aromas can fill in your bedroom while you sleep. Most night-blooming plants are white....
