Kym Brady, who is known as “The Urban Violinist” is an 18-year old honor student that graduated early in January 2020. During the past eight years, Kym has become an exceptional and innovative violinist that enjoys producing the elements of music through an array of genres ranging from pop, rock, jazz, and R&B. Kym has performed for some of the most influential people in Detroit, such as Mayor Duggan, Wayne County Executive Warren Evans, Wayne County Treasurer Eric Sabree, and various Michigan state representatives.

Kym was named the "2016 Rising Star" at the Career Mastered: Women's Leadership in Action Awards ceremony for Women's History Month during March 2016 in Metro Detroit. She is the youngest inductee to the Women's Hall of Fame in Michigan. Kym has offered her talent for several local events such as The Rhonda Walker Foundation’s 11th Moving with Success Empowerment Brunch, YMCA Tux and Tens-Detroit Achievers Award Fundraiser, the Ford-Employees African-Ancestry Network’s 37th Annual Black History Month Gala, GM African Ancestry Network’s 13th Annual Black History Month Celebration and the Methodist Children Home Society 2020 Annual Dinner, just to name a few. On Fridays during the spring and summer months, you can find Kym practicing and playing violin near the Cullen Family Carousel for the seniors and other patrons on the River Walk.
