This Historic Resort in Downtown Nassau Just Reopened With a Private White-sand Beach, 7 Restaurants and Bars, and 2 Pools British Colonial just completed a $50 million renovation and now has 288 guest rooms and suites, seven food and beverage venues, two oceanfront swimming pools, and a private beach, all while being within walking distance of major landmarks such as Nassau's Cruise Port and the city's straw market.

Last week, our Director General, Mrs. Latia Duncombe, hosted a webinar with members of The Bahamas Global Sales and Marketing team, including the Executive Director of Sales and Marketing, Mrs. Valery Brown Alce. During the webinar, Duncombe emphasized the importance of safety, stating that it is at the core of everything we do.

November 4th marked a significant milestone as The Islands of The Bahamas and JetBlue jointly welcomed passengers on the airline's first nonstop service from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) in Nassau, the booming capital of The Bahamas. The new direct service is poised to simplify travel between these two coasts, enhancing accessibility to the coveted Caribbean paradise renowned for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant culture.

More than 20 seasoned pilots and flight enthusiasts with extensive experience flying to and around The Islands of The Bahamas participated in the recent Halloween Fly-in, named in honor of The Bahamas’ first Flying Ambassador, Terry Spurlock, who passed away last year.

Participants got a unique glimpse into Abaconian life. They got a chance to taste local cuisine and tour popular attractions such as Albert Lowe Museum, Hope Town Light House & Memorial Sculpture Garden, and were the invited guests at a special Halloween Party.

Through the Abaco Fly-in, BMOTIA showcased the growing private aviation sector and boosted the economy of The Abacos while aiming to treat visitors to an exceptional experience in The Islands of The Bahamas.
