This might be little long to read, but hopefully it is worth it.

Dear Kit Carson Community and to all those who are looking for an amazing place to live,
I wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for the warmth and support you've shown us since the day we arrived. From the very beginning, you welcomed us with open arms. You helped us navigate the town, introduced us to local traditions, and became more than just neighbors – you became friends. We've cherished the potlucks, the school events where we cheered together, and the countless acts of kindness that made Kit Carson feel like a true home.
We, the Framel family, especially want to thank you for all you do to promote a strong school and a vibrant culture. Your dedication to education and preserving local heritage has provided an enriching environment for our family. We've witnessed firsthand the positive impact these efforts have had on our children and the entire community.
On behalf of the entire community, I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the incredible firework show Russ Watson put on for the Fourth of July! The dazzling display of lights and colors truly lit up the night sky, creating a magical experience for young and old alike.
His dedication and hard work are a shining example of the Kit Carson spirit. This community has a remarkable way of coming together to support events that bring joy to everyone. The fireworks show perfectly embodied that spirit, providing a night of celebration and togetherness for all of us.
We're incredibly fortunate to have Russ and his fire buddies willing to go the extra mile to make Kit Carson's Fourth of July so special. Thank you once again for your generosity and hard work. We all appreciate it more than words can express!
I'm, also, writing to spark a conversation about our wonderful town and its future. Kit Carson boasts a strong community spirit, a beautiful new school building with top-notch facilities and educators, and a supportive local business scene. However, we all know there's always room to grow. That's why I'm reaching out to solicit your ideas and thoughts on how we can achieve the following goals:
• Attract New Businesses: A thriving business sector brings jobs, economic growth, and a vibrant community atmosphere. What kind of businesses do you think would be a good fit for Kit Carson? Do we have the resources or infrastructure to support them?
• Increase Student Enrollment: Our state-of-the-art Kit Carson School District has a spacious, four-year-old building with room for 60 additional students! This presents a fantastic opportunity. How can we spread the word about our amazing school, its dedicated teachers, and the unique learning environment it provides?
• Strengthen Existing Local Businesses: We have fantastic local shops and services that contribute significantly to the character and heart of Kit Carson. How can we better support these businesses and encourage residents to shop local?
Here are some initial thoughts to get the conversation started:
• Business Development Committee: Could we form a committee to research business needs, connect potential entrepreneurs with resources, and organize events to showcase local businesses?
• School Open Houses and Marketing Initiatives: Highlighting the school's strengths, like small class sizes, personalized attention, strong arts programs, and community partnerships, could attract new families to Kit Carson.
• Shop Local Campaigns and Events: Community events like farmers markets or "Shop Local" weekends can promote local businesses and encourage residents to discover the hidden gems in our town.
Together, we can make Kit Carson an even more attractive and thriving community! Please don't hesitate to share your suggestions and ideas by replying to this letter, attending a community meeting, or simply striking up a conversation with a neighbor.
Yes, I know that many of us started these conversations two years ago, but it might be time to meet again and rethink how we take action. Thank you for your time and dedication to our wonderful town!
Thank you again for everything.
With sincere appreciation,
Robert Framel
