Shooting at Kansas City Super Bowl Rally Probably Stemmed From Argument, Police Say The authorities said they had taken three people into custody, including two people who were younger than 18. The shooting left one person dead and 22 more injured.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office in addition to various local jurisdictions have been alerted to an email threat targeting multiple schools within Montgomery County and throughout Ohio. The matter is currently under investigation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF).

The email threats were disseminated to a number of educational institutions. As of now, there is no evidence supporting the credibility of the threats and no imminent danger has been identified for any of the schools in our area. Nevertheless, the situation is being treated with the utmost seriousness, and all necessary precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff.

Montgomery County Sheriff Rob Streck emphasized, "The safety and security of our community's educational institutions are of utmost importance. We are working closely with our federal and local partners to thoroughly investigate these email threats and ensure the safety of our schools."

Parents, students, and school staff are encouraged to stay informed through official channels, including updates from local law enforcement agencies and school authorities. We urge members of the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or information related to these threats to their local police department.

Reminder to lock your doors and report suspicious activity! Stay Safe!

At Approximately 9:31 am, one of our officers became aware of a vehicle with a stolen license plate in the area of Hazel Woods Park. When our officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled. A pursuit was initiated and concluded when the suspect vehicle crashed. There were no injuries and two suspects were taken into custody at that time.

The stolen plate was used to cover a Florida license plate to help make the vehicle hard to identify by a witness. We suspect these two subjects were part of a multi-state crime ring known as Felony Lane Gang. One of the vehicle occupants was from Florida and the other from Atlanta, Georgia. This group will often times break into vehicles at parks, daycares and fitness facilities looking for purses and wallets left in vehicles. We believe these subjects were preparing to go through Hazel Woods and Clearcreek Park just prior to our officer discovering them. Our investigation is continuing as suspects arrested in this case will receive accommodations at the Warren County Jail.

This is another reminder to always lock your vehicles and not leave any valuables behind. Our officers will remain vigilant in finding these criminals and hold them accountable. As always, if you ever see suspicious activity in our parks, please report it immediately so our officers can check it out. We would rather it turn out to be nothing than not receive the call.

A zero-day exploit for Signal was discovered that gives access to your full device.

To close the vulnerability, go to settings under your profile in signal> chats> deselect “generate link preview”. Also recommended to make sure your signal app is up to date.

A what?!?! A zero-day exploit is when hackers discover a software gap or flaw they can use to gain access to users’ information or computers.

As our children return to school over the next couple of weeks they will likely be faced with many challenges and threats to their safety that they haven’t had to worry about all summer!
