They’re trying to stifle debate!

The Rules Committee just met to discuss a way to limit YOUR representative from making motions and filing amendments on the House floor!

They voted to eliminate the Motion Period altogether and they voted to limit amendments, during cloture, to only 12 each that the House majority and minority leaders choose. Rep. Kathy Landing, Communicating Mount Pleasant & The Lowcountry was the only ‘No’ vote.

As a member of the South Carolina Freedom Caucus and someone who has been ‘kicked out’ of the Republican Caucus for being a true conservative, do you think they’ll choose one of MY amendments to consider?

They are limiting debate, which is a limit on free speech, something our founding fathers built into our law-making process.

Whenever the Establishment feels threatened, THEY CHANGE THE RULES!

Watch! They’ll probably use a ‘Special Order’ maneuver to ram these rules through the full House tomorrow - something that was only recently used for the budget and giving a ‘woke’ corporation $1.3B dollars of your tax money.

What an action-packed, first day back at the SC State House!

1. Started off speaking at the ’People Want Paper’ Election Integrity rally. Big crowd from all over the state in attendance, who braved the storm, because it’s important to them!
2. Met with the NC/SC Regional Director for Students for Life Action.
3. South Carolina Freedom Caucus met with the ’Save Our Venues’ folks to discuss tort reform issues.
4. Spent hours listening to testimony on H.4624 Gender Reassignment Procedures before the 3M subcommittee on Medical Affairs.

No sooner did I get home to Spartanburg, when word came that leadership is again trying to silence the voices of true conservatives! 😡

There is some questionable weather forecasted for tomorrow, so do not risk your safety to attend. Along with folks from the Wellford City Police Department, Startex Fire District and other community volunteers, we handed out Christmas gifts today, to some families in Wellford who needed an extra blessing this year!

A heart-felt “Thank you!” to the many area businesses and residents who made this Christmas a little brighter for these sweet children!

Had a great meeting in Beaufort, SC tonight with the folks from Equal Protection South Carolina! We explained the moral imperative of protecting the preborn, under the 14th amendment. We also discussed who in the SC Legislature is standing in the way of this movement. More and more pastors are coming on board and waking up to establishing justice for our unborn neighbors. Momentum is building…

What a great crowd at our 2nd meeting on the Equal Protection South Carolina Fall Tour. Tonight’s event was hosted by the good folks at Covenant Baptist Church in West Columbia, SC. On to Beaufort, SC tomorrow evening. People are waking up to the justice and constitutionality of Equal Protection!

Enjoyed another Sunday afternoon ministering to the folks in the assisted living community. We sang Christmas carols, spoke about Jesus, our King and had some good fellowship afterwards. Special thanks to Gene Kirschbaum for lending a hand, or actually two, on piano!
