The rabbit side of boots is coming along just fine ⭐️ we had some good wins this weekend giving more hope for the endangered American Rabbit. We also work with American Chinchilla Rabbits and a new add is the Creme de Argent. We’ll have babies available in the following weeks. Some showable and some for breeders. If you want to learn more about showing rabbits just ask!
Did you know?
Napoleon Bonaparte was defeated by a horde of rabbits?
The Great Bunny Attack of 1807
They were celebrating a treaty and organized a hunt.
They released lots of rabbits some story’s noting upward of 3k!
The rabbits didn’t run on release. They turned and took on Napoleon and his military crew that were all invited to the hunt.
In the end the men retreated. The rabbits remained in possession of the field!
The Time Napoleon Was Attacked by Rabbits “[They] forced the conqueror of conquerors ... to retreat and leave them in possession of the field.”
It’s timeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Here’s a three hour old baby rabbit for you. Columbus brought 11 into the world. That’s what I love about this breed. Moms have big litters and raise them well!
Oh baby. Dinner tonight was a fat salad provided locally in Palmyra by Moon Farm with some cheese provided by old forge dairy locally made in Kent from cows that are pastured in Deerfield from Cymry Farms. Then a nice glass of raw milk from Cymry Farms. Oh man the quality and the flavor is out of this world.
We had some more additions this past weekend. Cinder and her mom Bailey. Then of course there’s Charlie!
Just another day in paradise 🐐🐄🐓❤️
19 quail and 13 chickens just hatched. Adding 156 quail and 12 duck eggs to incubator today.
The little Rex potatoes are almost 3 weeks old. Eyes are open and we’re munchin on hay and pellets ❤️ welcomed two American Blues into the family this past month. A breed that is multipurpose that very recently went from critical the threatened with the help of dedicated breeders across America. Lots of cool things this spring and many more to follow 💙❤️
