I never believed in messages from the universe until about a year ago. I never read too much into it or think too much about it, but now I am more aware of the little signs. Or in this case, literal signs.
This last year has been…interesting to say the least. I’ve struggled, learned a lot, but have also had some really wonderful things happen.
And when I was going through the struggles, it was so easy to say, “why does this keep happening?” Or “why me?”
I’ve really been working hard on trying to adjust and take what comes at me. First after having a little melt down, of course 😂
I always have to think, things happen that we can’t control. But what can I control? And then go from there.
I try not to be the mushy type either, but this one has me feeling a little sappy for some reason.
I hope this sheds a light for you like it did for me to realize that we can’t control everything, all we can control is how we react and what actions we take 💜

Then, I took a pivot and listened to what my clients were asking me for and starting providing my PAM™ services. After creating hundreds of functional systems for many clients since 2019, I realized that there were still tasks that were being skipped or forgotten about that are vital to running a home (like routine maintenance or calendar/scheduling issues). Or tasks that people just didn't enjoy doing (like laundry!)

1. Write down a list of what you love:
Anything you enjoy doing that you do regularly or WANT to do regularly
2 The another list of what you don’t love:
Things you’re doing currently you don’t enjoy, things you need to do but push off because you don’t like it
3. Try to think about what you can delegate out to give you more time to do what you love but aren’t doing?
What are some things you want to take off your plate?
We started working with this client in the beginning of the school year last year with monitoring the email inbox and then inputting all important dates into her calendar such as: dance classes, soccer practices, school picture days, school sneaker days, class parties, birthday parties, anything you can think of.
She had photos ordered ahead of schedule and never missed a sneaker day!

Ready for my secret to still feeling good about myself at the end of the day if I don't accomplish everything on my to-do list?
It all comes down to this: I always say to myself, "I got a lot done today!" That, along with the fact that I know the list will always be there and I've learned to just "let it go".
I'm sharing this because I know what it's like to feel stuck with the burden of a to-do list and that it never ends. But sticking to the negative thoughts isn't going to cut it.

I like to carry a make-up bag on jobs. But it doesn't have any makeup! I use it to carry all of my supplies that I need and may need on a job. After so many years of doing this job, the amount of supplies that are useful to have on hand is mind boggling lol. Here are some of the things that I like to keep on hand:
- label maker
- extra label tape of different sizes and colors
- different pins, tacks, fasteners, etc.
- tape measure
- first aid supplies
- screw drivers
- box cutter
- different types and sizes of shelf clips
- telco strips to hold wires together
- plastic shelf clip labels
- pliers (to pull out shelf clips that have been stuck in holes in shelves for so long when I need to adjust shelving)
- rubber bands
Did any of these things surprise you?
Burn out is a choice. There. I said it. Don't hate it, but hear me out.
There are things that give you energy, and things that take your energy. Things that take our energy, lead to burnout. We can choose (for the most part) things that we want to do and don't want to do.
So your challenge today is to just say no to something or, look at your calendar or to-do list and remove something from it that doesn't give you energy.

Rest is a money making activity.
Running a small business can feel like a roller coaster. With very high, happy moments, and some low periods that make you question everything.
I was feeling completely burnt out before my 7 day vacation and chose to just turn everything off and not think or worry about the business!
By day 4, I was feeling refreshed and inspired and even started noticing things on the cruise ship that I could translate into running my own business!
Rest is a money making activity.
