He left for school today with a set of drum sticks, a Ukulele and his cross country gear. It’s gonna be a good day. 🙏
Insane! I don’t know what else to say. DELIVERED🥇
I need to take the day off tomorrow. I’ve never even met the guy. (Yet). Absolutely love sport!
Since the beginning, this kid is in constant motion. His energy used to give me anxiety because I couldn’t match it. I framed “Be still, and know that I am God” (psalm 46:10) above his bed, praying he could find stillness and rest. Grateful he’s found it. Hours and hours out there on his own, being still and quiet . 🙏
God, thank you for the incredible wonder of a 14,000ft mountain. Thank for the body that allowed me to climb that sucker. It was a little touch and go🙃. Most importantly, thank you for a family that would climb that beast with me. ❤️
Pikes Peak. 14k. 12.2 miles. 8000 elevation gain. 6 hours, 11 mins. Done and dusted.
I will not be showing a picture of the RATTLESNAKE (2x) we saw this morning. In Colorado Springs for lacrosse tournament… and it’s 101.. and games start at 2p… and there’s no tree in sight. 🔥 Here’s hoping for a safe day.
This list is just as valuable to our health as the things that do cost $$$.. like memberships and organic food. The things on this list are often overlooked. Want to make a FREE impact on your health - start here.
My good buddy Ella and I went for our “big loop ride” today. We’ve been planning it for a year. She nailed it.
I asked her what she’s been listening to these days.. she said “oh, just a little Slim Shady” 🙋♀️.
Just like that he’s a freshman. Summer school has started, high school cross country in full swing.. it’s all so soon. I have to pause, take a picture and soak it all up before he’s gone. ❤️… he’ll always be The Auggie Bear.
A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts - Washington Irving
My mom has been carrying me on her back for 51 years. ❤️💪
I literally fear cold water. 🚿
Trust me, I know alllll the benefits of the cold plunge. Even so, It doesn’t make it appealing to me. We went. We did it. I managed 3 mins, then sat in that hot red light sauna for 40 mins. 🔥
Check out my high score on the ole Garmin sleep score after that hour at . 😴
Thanks for the wellness retreat.
Man, how cool is life? I have the privilege of leading a corporate wellness program at in downtown Indy. They have 100 employees and the ONE I get to collaborate with the most is my long time friend ! We didn’t even plan it that way.
Excited for the opportunity to connect with this company. Investing in their employees health is love ❤️. 😊
This is so good. 💕
Proud of this guy.
First, he’s gone like 40 hours without food😵. He will eat tonight. A health challenge I had nothing to do with!
I get on him about his health and he always steps up. Gets it done. ✅
We’ve been working on his daily stress response - ashagwanda, magnesium, D3, and glycine help, but he also cut out sugar and alcohol. 💕
Grateful the father of our children makes his health a priority. 🙏🏻
Shout out to all the parents out there taking good care of themselves! It matters.
My mom turned 75 this year. The greatest gift she has given me is HER health. I feel so blessed to not have to worry about her and a chronic disease.
Parents - take care of yourself so your kids don’t have to!
It’s one of those “can you find the ONE that’s a little off” picture challenges. Our son, #33, blue cleats. I’m sure there is a good explanation.
Felt good to be with people last night, all of us moving and growing together… we showed up. There was a hoot, then a holler, mixed up with some great music. It made me my smile. Thanks and for the lift. Xo - shea
💕💕Tradition. The only 2 that made the start line this morning. Still representing. Happy Thanksgiving!
Ha! But can you relate? What’s your life haiku?
Change your haiku with better food, sleep, movement and stress management. Hire a wellness coach!
I’ve tried this before, and it didn’t hit at the time. Going to try again… this time with a few more years under my belt and different circumstances. Wish me luck.
Has anyone had good results with the ?
Done and dusted. Big Sugar Gravel is a total Bad$SS race. I suppose that makes me a bad$SS too. 😊👊.
So listen to this! I recently recommended that a client undergo a comprehensive full blood test panel for various health-related and knowledge reasons. Unfortunately, she received some unsettling test results that necessitate further testing and medical oversight.
Her doctor of osteopathy (D.O.) responded to the test results with the following inquiries:
1. Why did you decide to have lab work done? (Out of personal curiosity)
2. What prompted you to seek guidance from a wellness coach? (To enhance her well-being, age gracefully, and adopt a healthier lifestyle)
3. Have you been experiencing any symptoms related to these unfavorable test results? (No)
4. Then don’t dwell on it. 🥹
In essence, the message was to consult when her health deteriorates significantly. When she inquired whether this issue might become a concern, he responded with a vague “not necessarily.” And that was the extent of the conversation.
She’s left with more questions, no medical advice and looking for a new doctor to help her AVOID getting any potential symptoms.
Your health matters. Knowledge of your heath matters. The good news is that we are working to prevent any chronic illness now.
Last week I met with a group of people who are working with me on stress management. We are practicing breathwork, meditation and gratitude.
Someone asked a great question. How do I show gratitude when it feels awkward? It’s not easy for everyone.
I suggested a note, a gift card.. or even a text. I love to receive gratitude texts! I encouraged the group to be deliberate in showing gratitude towards a co-worker, family or friend… and when we meet next week, we will talk about it! That’s the beauty and accountability of doing group wellness work.
Thanks to all the friends that came out for the AJ 7k charity run.
AJ is a beautiful boy diagnosed with MLD. We celebrated his 7th birthday. It’s a true blessing to be able to do so. ❤️🙏🏻 His mama, Malissa, walked the whole thing with AJ.. she gave him the joy of sunshine and fresh air for the heart. Was a glorious day.
Be a boss. Taking care of health is a DAILY commitment. You are in charge of what eat.
My big moment and I take a picture of my forehead. AND, at the end of this Live Photo (which I edited out) I just noticed there is spinach stuck in my teeth! I gave a 75min presentation with spinach in my teeth. For the LOVE.
50, going on 35😊! Who knows if what they say is true.. but 128 lab tests later, I’ll take it.
Here’s what I know is true:
✅ no alcohol for 7 years
✅ movement 6 days a week
✅ non-processed food 90% of the time
✅ prioritize sleep
✅ journal, pray, quiet time every morning
Prayers up I don’t get hit by a bus.
For the 🥇! Big race today. He wanted this one.
The wheels on the bus take us to our first away meet.
I find real joy in coaching these kids. It’s a mental break from work - a true break. I don’t think about it at all when I’m with them.
Sundays = no technology. We always end up in a creek.
Today we tried spear fishing..with a kitchen knife, stick and duct tape.
That monster on the end of his spear was already dead. Made for a good picture.
Just like that… our number 2 is off to college. University of Kentucky-go get it Sydney!
