So my wife and I got started with Usborne through a party invite. We were invited because we enjoy reading books to our son, and now daughter, and someone figured we would enjoy the books Uborne has to offer.
The party was pretty easy as it was all via Facebook posts. To participate all you had to do was comment on the party posts, there were about a dozen or so of them over the hour of the party and the follow up after. The party sale was up for about a week where we could peruse the selection and make our purchase. The family who invited us to the party got credit towards free books based on how much their invitees purchased. Win/win for us all. Because the parties were held for a week, even if we couldn’t make it to the live event we could still participate a few days later.
After “attending” a few parties we hosted some of our own and now we help other families and book lovers host their own parties. It costs nothing to host a party, and you are not obligated to buy any books or spend any money beyond credits you earn either. Shipping is the only thing you are expected to pay.
Commenting on the posts earned raffle tickets towards the party prizes, and in one party we won a couple of free books.
Honestly, I was a bit skeptical about the books because I like to put my hands on an item I’m buying, especially books, so I can see if I like it. With these books our son quickly fell in love with them. I even enjoy reading them because the stories are new for me(most parents can relate to reading the same stories weeks on end)
If you have any questions about the books please let us know. I am more than happy to flip through one of the books we have so you can see what it looks like inside, or have our son read from one of them too.

Why we’re doing this
Hi everyone - We know what you’re thinking. “Oh geez... someone else trying to sell something.” It’s simple. Matt and I have a book problem. Literally. If you were to visit our home, you’d see piles and bookcases full of books in multiple rooms.
As a young child, I started reading at the age of two, and one of my childhood memories is BOOKS EVERYWHERE. As a mother of a rambunctious, clever three-year-old son and a sweet five-month-old daughter, we’ve made that our children’s reality too.
I fell in love with Usborne & Kane Miller books from the moment I picked up my first That’s not my book. The quality, the content, the engagement that baby Liam had with it. These books are just solid, folks, and we love them.
One of the challenges that I’m facing already is keeping my kids away from screens, so I’ve made it a mission to raise my son as a bibliophile. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, benefits of parent-child reading time include brain development before Kindergarten age. “Children who are read to, especially before school entry, experience stronger parent-child relationships and learn valuable language and literacy skills.” But, I have a feeling that I’m preaching to the choir here. ;)
