Yup.

I am currently traveling in Europe…surrounded by inspiration and amazing artisans. Today we saw a carpet factory in Turkey and enjoyed a presentation on how a true piece of art is created. The meticulous attention to each knot…the vibrant color of the silk and angora… the detail in the pattern…I was in awe. It is my job as your interior designer to educate clients on the right materials for their lifestyle and to guide them to the highest quality area rugs and furnishing- with in their budget. When possible we wish for one of a kind, high quality heirloom pieces that will stand the test of time both in style and durability. I could have spend hours here viewing stunning rug after stunning rug…my family had a different idea of how to spend the day!🙄 Next time in Turkey will be a buying trip!

I gather inspiration from the visual world around me...Mother Nature out did herself this AM. The sunrise was simply spectacular. The deep cool blues of the ocean, the silvery caps on the waves all heated up by the striking orange sun rising. I can already picture the living space coming together...rich navy sofa, textured coffee table, bold hits of orange in the pillows...

In the design process, the "get to know you" stage is called programming. This is where we meet and get to snoop around your space—figuring out what's working and not, and how it's all being used. Plus, we get to know you, your quirks, and your style.

From this, we whip up an inspiration board on Pinterest. These are two inspiration photos that we pinned in those early stages of our latest project! Can't wait to see how it all comes together!

Ahhhhhhh OBX...I look forward to this cherished week each year. Family fun, quirky traditions and Ohhhh so much inspiration in this gorgeous place.

This project had such a unique color palette - soft pinks, purples, deep and soft greens and creams. This entryway captures that palette in pillows and a painting… so effectively setting the tone of the home.

Biophilia in interior design means filling your space with nature-inspired elements, incorporating leafy green plants as harmoniously into your space as possible, and taking notes from nature for other design elements. It's all about bringing the outside in, so you can feel zen without having to, you know, actually go outside. Whether it's maximized daylight in the room, or the earthy scent of a terrarium, biophilia turns your home into a stylish sanctuary, perfect for those who appreciate nature from the comfort of their sofa.

When designing your kitchen or bar, I like to add in a small lamp. They're fun and unexpected, and make for great task lighting. If you opt for a swankier feel, or don't have a lot of counter space, you can also install under cabinet lighting . They create such beautiful ambiance, plus they serve that similar task lighting purpose!

This project has been a long time coming... I worked with these wonderful clients in 2021, redoing much of their furniture and accessories to a marvelous effect, only for them to have their house totally burn down in the Marshall Fire!

In their endless patience and resilience, the team restarted. We rebuilt on the site where they lost everything, working with architects and craftsmen, choosing finishes, and creating a warm, modern home.

Nearly two and a half years after the burn, the first stages of the move-in are finally happening. We can't wait to do final styling... pictures to come!

Everyone loves a before and after...

Loving how this gorgeous kitchen turned out. It's all in the details... custom cabinets, a gorgeous Taj Mahal waterfall quartzite island, a hand forged steel hood, an updated bar area, linear chandelier, and fantastic wallpaper... coming together for a stunning result! Swipe to see the before!
