Loving these dramatic and artistic maternity shots! I have started offering 30 minute maternity studio sessions which is perfect for grabbing a handful of images like this that you may not need a full session for. You can also add this on to a full outdoor session.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Most newborn sessions are done around 2 weeks old. However, some families choose do do them later for various reasons. Sometimes you need that extra time to get settled in, home from NICU, or give your toddler time to adjust. You will never regret having those first family photos, even if they're not done right away!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Golden hour session times are slowly moving earlier and earlier! This is great for planning a session with toddlers and bedtimes. But this also makes it harder for some families to do a weekday evening with work schedules. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​September and October golden hour sessions are fully booked except for *ONE* Friday night spot. Otherwise it's only weekday availability left. If you are hoping for a Fall session reach out now to save a date!

If your family has spread out to different states like many families do, consider booking a group family session the next time everyone is together! During these kind of sessions we get pictures of everyone and then break down to individual families, cousins, sisters, grandparents and grandkids, etc. These sessions are always so much fun and everyone is grateful for the captured memories to take home. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​They also make an amazing Christmas gift to grandparents... Summer is halfway over! Can you believe it? ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

This session was done at my clients home both inside and in the back yard. She wanted to use these fresh flowers she grabbed from the store that morning. I love all the personal touches in their gallery! ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Between the ages of 6 months and 1 year are probably one of my favorite to photograph. They are just so smiley and cute!​​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​​

This client had a unique vision of having her maternity session on a horse farm so we made it happen! It was so fun and such a beautiful spot. I am absolutely adding this to my recommended locations in my session preparation guide! ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

I spent a lot if time in the lavender fields this month. Still one of my favorite spots!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Jerusalem Mills is such a great spot for sessions. It has this dreamy field and the Gunpowder river. Since the field and river are walking distance apart we usually split the session between the two to give lots of variety in the gallery. These colors are perfect for this spot too aren't they? ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Oh my gosh, this little guy was the sweetest big brother. It was hard to get him to look up from hugging and kissing his baby sister. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​A disclaimer if you are pregnant and worried about your toddlers cooperation for a newborn session- this is not normal haha! It's pretty much expected they will need some time, patience and extra attention. Luckily I am used to it and am up for the challenge!
