I'm stuck, sales are low, and I'm working harder than ever...Does this sound familiar to you?

Rest assured, it’s one of the top struggles we hear from new small business owners.

Who are usually so excited to share their creation with the world that they sometimes skip over some steps in the process of building an effective marketing strategy. 🤷‍♂️

Pro tip? Understanding the pain points your ideal customer faces is critical to successful marketing.

Here are a few ways you can do so:

💯 Spend time in communities where your client spends time. Reddit is a great platform to explore because it allows you to hear how people express their pain points in a public forum, so you can create messaging that echoes the language and solves the problems posed.

💯 Interview early-stage customers and understand why they chose you, what made them choose you over others, and what struggles they faced that led them to need the product in the first place.

💯 Look at your competition and their reviews. This is where you can find untapped gold by learning where your competition is missing the mark.

💯 Use zero party data strategies in your email campaigns. Ask strategic questions and build some trends. Most email tools have built in survey tools.

💯 What other media do they consume? Don't invest in social channels where your clients don't hang out. You can run targeted campaigns on both the paid and SEO side to target publications your clients would read/trust also

💯 Have a running document where you reflect on this work quarterly.

Any questions on how to implement any of the items above? DM us, and we’ll share more ideas!

Marketing reminder of the day: It's okay to make mistakes in your marketing campaign.

Every business should have a different marketing plan based on the product they are selling. What works for one company may not work for yours.

Always be monitoring your progress so you can see what works and what does not. Just because a strategy doesn't work does not mean you have failed, learn from the mistakes you make and adapt to better your strategy.

Digital marketing tip of the day: update your website often.

With the new year rounding the corner you don't want to ring in 2022 with an old website. Keep up with new trends, update photos, and keep your website easily accessible.

Today we are going to bust a stereotype about marketing!

Most people believe that any content is good content. While posting regularly is important, it's important to make sure you are posting valuable content. High-quality content engages potential consumers and positions your business as a knowledgable authority. All content should add value and speak to the interests of your target market. Less is more if the choice falls between lots of mediocre content or less content of higher quality!

Are hashtags still important? While the way we use hashtags are ever changing, they can still be an important tool for your business. Hashtags can:

1. Broaden your brand awareness with people who do not follow you.

2. Engage with consumers looking for similar content.

3. Make your content easily discoverable.
