📧 List hygiene is imperative to maintaining a healthy email list. It ensures you are getting inboxed and staying out of the dreaded spam bucket.

Yet, a few words of caution for anyone aggressively cleaning. You may be pruning seedlings that aren't quite ready yet. But could eventually blossom into your biggest customers and die-hard fans.

Sometimes we need to reflect on our own journey for insights... 🧐

I was on someone's list for over two years before I bought anything from them. I would often go weeks or even months without reading any of their emails.

But when I finally did buy from them, I went all-in with their high-ticket 5-figure program. For me, it was less about the know, like, and trust factors. Those are important but not the only factor. I knew I wanted their products and services, but the timing wasn't right when I first connected with them.

This morning, I woke up to a commission notification for a mid-ticket offer I promoted months ago. I haven't driven traffic to or promoted it for a while.

What does that mean? 🤔

It means someone was reading the emails I sent them months ago.

So don't get too caught up in the vanity metrics of opens and clicks. Those metrics are definitely important for inboxing and delivery. But not a true metric of your business health.

Your emails can be as evergreen as your social media marketing.

About 18 months ago, I was going through the paces of my life.

On autopilot so to speak.

I was lucky. With everything going on in the world. I still had a healthy family and a steady job.

But, there was something missing from my life.

Frankly, I had no idea what was missing, but I could sense it on some level.

I had long since given up on my own dreams.

I thought my purpose was simply to raise my children. Work until I had saved enough to retire. And maybe take an occasional vacation along the way.

I was a zombie, walking through life. I had accepted that my life was good enough and would never be any better.

But then something profound occurred.

A super charged ball of energy disrupted my YouTube stream.

I had no clue at the time. But, that disruption would send me on a trajectory that would reshape my life forever.

This powerful energy was the catalyst for me to wake up from my zombie state and take control of my destiny.

The powerful energy that I speak of has a name: Jeff Lerner

Jeff taught me that there was so much more possible.
