Proper tea time for a proper young lady … I had the joy of helping a family celebrate their little princess’ birthday… the cake was my own signature Earl Grey cake with lemon curd cream, then citrus Madelines , custard eclairs, Battenberg slices, finger sandwiches-including coronation chicken salad, cream scones, pecan and crasin scones with a cinnamon glaze, savory triple cheese and herbs Provence scones… Chantilly, strawberry jam, pineapple brown sugar jam and jalapeño cantaloupe jam… the most fun was witnessing how much the birthday girl enjoyed the scones when I delivered everything before her party☺️
It’s always fun to switch things around for private clients AND a pleasure to let guests simply relax and enjoy each other and celebrate when they hire a private chef 😉
It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to spend the most recent chapter of my culinary life among some great Culinarians and Chefs both present and future! YOU ALL are such prescious and rare threads now woven into the tapestry of my life that I’ll take with me into this next chapter I begin at the The Taste Project …so until our next 🍽️
Wedding rehearsal HIGH TEA and a fun light lunch bar/buffet where the bride could celebrate with her grandma’s tea cup collection, along with her love of tea, spouse to be and they’re wonderful wedding party 🎊
I had the privilege of helping, celebrate the birthday, international style for one of the owners of Aussie Grind. I’m telling you,I can hardly wait to go to their venue as the pasión they showed for the people in their life and what they planned out …well we all can aspire to be! I was entrusted to provide the meal, and even the mixed drink server via my daughter Kimi … It was beyond a privilege and pleasure to be their private chef for the night.  The joy of creating a menu to make your guests happy is always fun,  the true treat is the amazing people you get to feed!
A wonderful kick off reception for the church’s upcoming fall fest. I was honored to be able to create a fun and festive repast for them.
This is why I do the "side hustle" I truly enjoy the People connection

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Chef Denise. I am so elated that I found her on takeachef. Chef Denise allowed me to make adjustments to her original proposal, adjusted her schedule, she made it very apparent she was here for me. Getting to know her was to love her, she is very people oriented, engaging in the kitchen, & the sweetest soul. Everything from the set up, to the presentation of the food was incredibly attention to detail. The food itself is a whole ‘nother review. Nothing but singing praises from my family. With every plate that came out we were all beside ourselves thinking “how can she top this” but with each one she did. I cannot recommend Chef Denise enough. She is the epitome of hospitality & honestly went above & beyond. We’re already thinking about the next time we can have her over!
Wow, I honestly am warmed in the heart. I have been thinking of this guest and their family all day and felt if I could have given a review to a client I would have! they are 5-star people…true hearts for each other. I felt very blessed to be in their Macrocosm, even for just a brief moment in time.

Had a full , fun and colorful week with the students and principles of cooking and intro to multiple cooking methods-  culminating in some completed dishes and plating exercises. It’s always a joy to step back and see how far they’ve come in just a few weeks. 👩🏾🍳🧑🏻🍳👨🍳
