What a dope night. Thank youuuuuu Linda, Jamie, and Paola for painting this beautiful teaching engaging mural for our community. Music, great humans, Everglades hiking tips, and PUBLIC ART ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT. So grateful to for bringing .earth to Vogel Park. Mural ribbon cutting is January 10th!
Our vice mayor, ladies and gents! Dr. Richard Chervony has served this community in countless positions over many years. He has been a champion for residents and our quality of life, a stickler for fiscal responsibility and general accountability, and an advocate for equality and the environment. Vice Mayor Chervony reads literally everything and is our resident historian, and it is wonderful to see him step up to the task of filling Marvin’s big shoes. Congratulations to my dear colleague and friend.
A huge MAZEL TOV to Micky Steinberg, who was officially sworn in today to serve North Bay Village and District 4 - our coastal community - at the Miami-Dade County Commission. Commissioner Steinberg, we are already so proud of you and look forward to continuing to work together toward a healthy Biscayne Bay, clean infrastructure, and a resilient future. This morning’s ceremony was truly inspiring: the diversity on our County Commission seriously reflects the diversity in the 305 and it’s really just beautiful to see. Congrats to all the newly-elected commissioners - we welcome each of you to visit us in the
Sundar car selfie in my favorite shirt. #305
The 14th Climate Leadership Summit just wrapped and I’m going into the weekend inspired and optimistic about the future of our vulnerable region. We have the absolute best leadership in place at in and her amazing team in the Office of Resilience and they’re tackling immense challenges from every angle. It’s been a privilege to carry the momentum in our village and I look forward to continuing the hard work to make us resilient for generations to come. I am so proud that our tiny island town was able to sponsor this conference and that we were represented and seen for making great strides toward hardening our infrastructure to adapt for the future
NBV BNI! I’ve been a BNI member for 5 years and have grown super close to some local business owners in my chapter. and you guys are family. Networking with neighbors is the best. Shout out to all our small businesses and entrepreneurs - let me know how I can help you.
So much fun art brunching with David Richardson. Progress on North Beach means progress for NBV and David is the guy. Thank you to the Ritz Sagamore team for a beautiful event as always.
Today was all about infrastructure. Ralph, Marlon and I spent 2 hours with the Chief Resilience Officer, Village Manager, and Public Works Director at who were gracious enough to share their process and experience of planning major, major projects with us. That meeting was followed by another stormwater master plan briefing for our new commissioners. Infrastructure is not sexy and it takes time to plan, design, and permit. We are working hard to get it all done the right way - based on data - and with protecting our properties and their values as our first priority.
Lighting the virtual tree with the best! What a joy it was to see so many of you at our Winter Wonderland tonight. It’s always so great to see Vogel Park packed with families.
Bursting with gratitude on this Thanksgiving. Wishing you all a joyful day full of laughter, good food, and savory times with people you love.
Just beyond grateful to have served with the incomparable
Ready to serve 🙌🏼 Can’t wait to get on the dais with these guys: when you see us smiling in pics it’s because they’re genuinely making me laugh. What a blessing to serve with friends.
Just say Sally! Last night the NBV fam celebrated decades of Sally Heyman’s public service. We are so grateful for her fierce leadership: always standing up for those without a voice and never not supporting first responders. Thank you, Sally!
Working with our partners at the Miami-Dade TPO, North Bay Village is doing the real work to transform our three-island paradise into a resilient community with world-class infrastructure. By coordinating and collaborating with the TPO, we increase the likelihood of federal, state, and county financial support for roadway projects. Because drivers have no concept of jurisdictional boundaries and we’re all in this together. Thank you and for your support 🙌🏼 And thank you to our stars at Rubin Turnbull for guiding us here 💯
Sunday funday with and giving back with and So many toys and so many happy kids!
Started the day with our incredible NBVPD leadership at “Coffee with the Chief”. I may or may not have eaten 5 donut holes, dos croquetas, and dos empanadas. In all seriousness, we are so blessed to have this team keeping us safe in the . Professionalism, integrity, diversity, transparency, and accountability. Thank you Chief Noriega, Sgt. Amy, Jess, and Deputy Chief Bejar for your exemplary public service. This is one special community.
If ya don’t know, now ya know. We have a green building code and it applies to all new construction - from Sunbeam to single family homes - everyone has to hit a certain points threshold before building permits can be approved. Just one of the ways we’re making NBV a more sustainable, resilient community. Special thanks to the Sustainability & Resilience Task Force for their leadership on this!
NBV!!! You did it!!!!!! Thank youuuuuuu!
The Stormwater bond referendum was approved by voters! By a 2-1 margin, you all voted YES to investing in the future of our beautiful village. I am so excited to move full speed ahead with these projects. We have a Commission workshop on 12/5 to talk through timing, phasing, design, and the RFP process for how we will package the bids and get moving. This prioritization of our infrastructure will transform our community and protect property values for years to come. THANK YOU!
We had a fantastic night at Benihana for our NBV Resident Advisory Boards Appreciation event! Thank you to everyone who joined us. We are so grateful to all our Advisory Board and Task Force members for their dedication and service to our NBV community!
Incoming! We had an awesome night showing all the appreciation to NBV advisory board members, and it was especially exciting to celebrate Andy and Goran as new commissioners. Let’s go.
Surround yourself with people who lift you up, inspire you, and who teach you things about how to live your best life and make an impact on this world.
What a blast we had last night at the BOOTACULAR Halloween party!! YOU ARE AMAZING - especially the kids! So many awesome costumes, especially the homemade ones. It filled my heart with spooky joy to see hundreds of neighbors fill Vogel Park. Thank you to our amazing staff for doing all the things and doing them so well. Happy Halloween NBV!
This guy. This organization. There’s really nothing I love more in than celebrating the incredible work of the real heroes who make the real change. Thank you for all you do,
Happy birthday to our Chief Bay Officer !!! 🥳 Wow, you really spent your birthday in County Commission chambers leading our Watershed Management Board: no surprise here. Thank you for your joyful leadership, for the grace under pressure with which you guide us in the right direction and for how tirelessly you work on behalf of Biscayne Bay. It is a delight to work with you and I hope the rest of your day is a lot more celebratory and a lot less wonky! We love you.
shared her studio today with an intimate group of friends and neighbors, and being in this sacred space with this beautiful person and her truly magnificent art was more moving and nourishing than I could have anticipated. Thank you, my girl, for your light and love.

Snaps from last night’s awesome National Night Out! Galleon Street was lit! Puppy adoptions, a helicopter, great food, games, and so much community participation. Thank you to our local businesses and Optimists who participated, and to our NBVPD and all participating law enforcement agencies and first r spinners - you all make our community stronger. A special thank you to Sgt. Amy, who is the superhero behind this annual celebration. We love you Amy!
I don’t always but when I do it’s with a full heart. I highly recommend a late afternoon swing set break - no matter how old you are. Go enjoy Vogel Park, ya’ll!
We are so blessed to have been spared once again. Prayers for our friends and family on the Gulf Coast.
