Let me share a game-changing mentality from my husband. He once said to me, "Kelly, you can have it all, (referring to my purchases 😝) just not all at once." This simple line was out of character for him but so realistic. It’s a mantra I now share with my clients because it perfectly aligns with the way I coach. No food or drink is off-limits—you truly can have it all!
But here’s the key: You can have it all, just not all at once. Rewiring your brain with this thought will change everything.

🚨 I want to be VERY CLEAR. This episode and this habit we are NOT talking about sharing delicious bites like "Hey mom, try a bite of this ice cream cone," or "Hey dad, try this homemade cookie." 🍦🍪 These bites SHOULD BE enjoyed! 🥳 Be a good role model for your kids. 👨👩👧👦 Okay? Okay.
We are talking about those pesky bites from PB&J crusts, leftover chicken nuggets, finishing your kids' or loved ones' dinner plates at restaurants, mindless eating, and snacking on a sleeve of cookies while making dinner. 🍪🍗🥪
These bites are ruining your goals and calorie deficit. 😤
Problem: The old school "finish your plate" mentality can lead to overeating and weight gain. 🍽️ Instead, practice mindful eating by listening to your body's hunger cues. 🤔
Solution: Shift your mindset to mindful eating. Serve smaller portions, save leftovers for later, and practice slowing down during meals. 🥗 Drink an 8 oz glass of water before meals. 💧 This will help prevent overeating and foster a healthier relationship with food. 🌱

🍸 Alcohol contains empty calories, and it makes it easy to overeat, not just in the moment but throughout the day. It's the hidden calories that add up.
Reason: Alcohol Can Be Tricky to Track 🍷
📊 Tracking alcohol intake can be challenging, especially when you're out. Bottled or canned drinks are easier to track because you know the calorie count. However, when you're at a restaurant or mixing your own drinks, it becomes more uncertain.
Solution: DIY Wine Glass with Ounce Measurements 🍷
🍇 To take control of your alcohol intake, consider creating a DIY wine glass with ounce measurements. Here's how:
1. Use a measuring cup with ounces.
2. Fill it with water up to the 5 oz line.
3. Pour it into your wine glass at home.
4. Make a small etch at the 5-ounce mark.
5. You can even mark 1, 2, and 3 ounces if you want.
By practicing at home, you'll get better at eyeballing your wine servings, making it easier to track when you're dining out. So, whether you're sipping a glass of dry red with your steak or enjoying a night out with friends, you'll know just how much you're consuming.

"I have struggled with my weight since my mid-20s. I’m the opposite of most people—I was ridiculed for how 'skinny' I was in high school. People always teased me about having a 'tapeworm' or needing to put some 'meat on my bones.' My classmates would joke and say, 'In 10 years, Stacey will be on Weight Watchers.'
Well, that did happen. I’ve done it ALL—the fad diets, the yo-yoing. I’ve gained 60 and lost 60 pounds more times than I’d like to count.
The first picture is me in December 2023, and the second is this morning before heading to work. I shared with Kelly Mozdy my struggles and my victories. I’m SO thankful I found her and her podcast. She has really helped me overcome my struggles.
I am still a work in progress, but I’m ready for it! I don’t let the number on the scale get to me. I just show up every day ready to hit my goals and know I will see results. They may not be as fast as I want, but slow and steady wins the race."

Monday’s Episode 🎧 Tips to easily hit your protein. Share your favorite tip with us.
# # # Hitting Your Protein Tips:
1. 🍳 Start your day with a protein-rich meal: eggs, turkey bacon, protein pancakes, or leftovers!
2. 🐔 Double your protein portions at meals to easily increase intake.
3. 📲 Pre-log your meals the night before to ensure you hit your protein goals.
4. 🍗 Divide your daily protein by 3-4 meals and aim for 30-40g per meal.
5. 🏷️ Check food labels: if protein grams (x10) are more than calories, it's high in protein.
6. 🍴 Add a high-protein snack like a Chomps stick, Legendary Chips, or Greek yogurt.

I didn't realize I was on a day-to-day yo-yo diet. One day I'd binge an extreme amount of calories, and the next I'd eat barely anything. My poor body was just slowly hanging onto more and more fat as time went on. 😩🍔🥗
After counting macros with Kelly:
My biggest change is my mindset. I allow myself to have treats or snacks, and I don't just throw the whole day away and binge on junk. I plan my sweets. 🍫🗓️ I also control what I can when things are out of my pre-tracked plan. Eat in moderation, half the plate, order salad and protein, and get that protein in! 🥗🍗 Track everything you put in your mouth! 📝
My body and weight might not be my "end goal," but we celebrate as I continue to work towards what I want inside of the KKM Clubhouse monthly membership. I am going to up my workouts! 💃🏃♀️ Nutrition was an amazing jump start. 🚀✨

Before counting macros:
I lacked clarity on what and how much to eat, often uncertain about which foods were beneficial or detrimental. My eating habits were erratic—I would overeat at school, return home stressed, snack mindlessly while preparing dinner, and despite feeling full, continue eating because I had cooked for my family. I didn't consider the excessive calories I consumed. I also felt I had to engage in intense workouts to maintain fitness, a mentality shaped during my time at a gym, where I initially lost weight. However, the rigorous exercise routines left me physically drained and emotionally 👎🏻 with fitness.
I realize I was using exercise as a means to offset my poor eating habits, without proper nutrition into my lifestyle. I regained the weight lost. Counting macros has since transformed my approach to nutrition, offering clarity and structure (I had no idea what I was doing before)
After counting macros with Kelly:
Counting macros has brought about victories in my life. I now experience improved energy levels and greater stability in my moods, which allows me to be more physically active. Feeling stronger and seeing toned muscles makes me feel excited! My mental clarity is even better.
I am thrilled with the changes I see in my body—my clothes fit better, and I no longer dread opening my closet but instead have so many wardrobe options available to me. In fact, my pants are now falling off, prompting a much-needed shopping trip that my husband finds quite amusing! On top of that, I have noticed a significant decrease in cravings and have developed a healthier relationship with food.

I would bounce back to my old ways and think "screw it" mentality. If I had one bad meal or day, it would continue for many days, leading to a downward spiral. 🌪️ I have really focused on the mentality shift of just enjoying a meal that could not be the greatest, forgetting about it, and making the next meal or day count! 🍽️✨

I have lost 11 pounds, which is exciting, but even more so is that all my pants that did not fit last year fit again, and I feel so much better in them!! 👖💪 More confident, more energy, and feel like I can tackle any situation with the information provided through the Clubhouse. 🌟🙌

Before Counting Macros with Kelly:
On and off for the last couple of years, I worked out—sometimes more than others—but I didn't see the results I wanted. I was always bloated before and after eating. I was still hungry, or I would be hungry shortly after having eaten a meal. I haven't felt like myself or the greatest in some of my favorite clothes for a while. I knew I was eating too large of a portion at mealtime, but I was hungry, so I still ate it.
After Counting Macros with Kelly:
I'm not bloated!!! 🎉 That has been a struggle I'm so happy to be rid of! I've struggled with GI diagnoses/issues my whole life and thought something new was coming on. After the Shred, I learned it was what I was eating, not my stomach issues. I've gained back the self-confidence I lost for a while, and it has changed my whole mood in life. My fiancé has noticed it too! I don't feel the need to snack outside of meals because I'm fuller longer and have more energy. But I still indulge in my favorite treats sometimes! 🍫 I've gotten more creative with the meals I make, even making condiments homemade so they're healthier! 🥗 I'm so glad I decided to take a chance on the Shred after seeing the changes my coworker experienced!

It had never occurred to me to weigh my food, especially protein to ensure I was getting enough. I wasn’t eating enough, period, & wasn’t even close to the protein I should’ve been consuming. I’ve been lifting consistently for 2 years & walking miles daily for over 7 years. The scale wasn’t budging, or going up if anything!! & my clothes were getting tighter."
"I THOUGHT I was eating healthy: What I was doing wasn't working. I was having a protein drink & banana after my 5:30 workout, 2 cups of coffee with creamer only, and oatmeal every day, mid-morning. I meal prepped salads for lunch every week, usually spring mix with spinach, all the veggies, steamed chicken with homemade oil & vinegar dressing, and baby bell cheese on the side. I cooked dinner. I usually ate pizza & wings with my husband on Fridays—2 slices & maybe 5 wings, with the carrots & celery. Other than that, I was barely eating out & couldn’t tell you the last time I ate from somewhere with a drive-thru. Overdoing the seltzers and vodkas. 😜"
