Come on thru for the world premier of Breathe (a ritual to undo) by Ashawnti Sakina Ford, May 13th - 15th, with Umar!!
Breathe is a moment of pause, a collective breath, a call to shake things up (in our bodies) so that we can continue a fight that was started long ago and may continue long after us. This ritual is intended to heal by allowing all of our emotions to flow in, out, and around us; creating space for a renewed sense of fight to emerge.
Million Artist Movement is also partnering with Exposed Brick Theater to provide Power Tree Quilting starting one hour prior to each performance. Audiences are invited to come early and create a square that will be sewn into a quilt to be shared with community at protests, celebrations and community events.
Umar Malik is the live musician for Breathe (a ritual to undo) opening THIS FRIDAY!! Tickets are sliding scale from $0 - $20 and you can reserve them here: bit.ly/BreathePerformance
