📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE: Code Silver Alert Response.

This afternoon a test of “Code Silver” procedures was conducted at Prime Healthcare facilities. The code was just a test which resulted in false alarms being sent to Prime facilities. There was no danger at the facilities; the doors are open and operations have resumed as normal.

Knapp Medical Center staff followed emergency management protocols during the test.

The Knapp Medical Center Auxiliary Volunteers are holding a benefit scrubs sale – as well as a bake sale / popcorn sale – until 7 pm today (Monday, June 10th) and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, June 11th) in the KMC Conference Center.

Shoppers are finding a wide variety of scrubs, polo shirts, lab coats, shoes, stethoscopes, compression socks, and badge holders, which can be ordered from Amigos Pro Scrubs. Orders are expected to arrive back at the Knapp Conference Center by June 28th. Knapp Auxiliary Volunteers will be on hand to assist shoppers when they pick up their items on June 28.

The Knapp Medical Center Auxiliary Volunteers are holding a benefit scrubs sale – as well as a bake sale / popcorn sale – this coming Monday (June 10th) and Tuesday (June 11th) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day in the KMC Conference Center (2-story building with its own parking lot and entrance, on the west side of the Knapp Medical Center campus, 1401 E. 8th Street in Weslaco).

There will be a wide variety of scrubs, polo shirts, lab coats, shoes, stethoscopes, compression socks, and badge holders, in all sizes, that can be ordered from Amigos Pro Scrubs – for all the fantastic health care professionals serving the Valley !!

All orders should arrive back at the Knapp Conference Center by June 28th. Knapp Auxiliary Volunteers will be available to assist purchasers when they pick up their items on June 28.

Monograms and logos are also available, at $6 per item. Scrubs can be paid for by credit / debit cards, cash, check, and for Knapp employees, by payroll deduction.

We would like to express our gratitude to our pediatric patient for the heartfelt handmade card they gave to our dedicated nurse aide, Kaige Saldivar. Despite being discharged, the patient returned recently just to personally deliver the thank you card to him. Since joining our team, Kaige Saldivar has truly made a positive impact on our unit. His exceptional ability to provide compassionate care to our patients is truly commendable.
