Jessica Hanley - Running for Re-election as a Marquette City Commissioner
My name is Jessica Hanley and I am currently a Marquette City Commissioner, running to be re-elected.
It has been an incredible journey serving you on the Marquette City Commission for the past three years. I've had the privilege of working with many dedicated individuals and making positive changes in our city. But there's more work to be done, and I am eager to continue serving you!
During my first term, we achieved milestones that I am proud of, from improving our parks, to working towards economic growth and stability. However, there is always room for improvement and new ideas to explore. I am committed to building upon our successes and addressing the challenges that our community faces.
Your support and engagement have been vital in shaping our initiatives, and I want to continue hearing your voices. Together, we can make Marquette an even better place to live, work, and play. Please feel free to reach out to me with your thoughts, concerns, or ideas. Your input matters.
If you are interested in learning more, please visit my website, [email protected], while there you can also sign up to have a yard sign dropped off if you are interested.
Honored to have been a part of the ceremony today to begin the demolition of the old hospital site here in Marquette.
I know it brings up mixed emotions for a lot of folks, myself included. I was treated for cancer as a child there and as an adult my son was born there.
However I know that for the City and the surrounding community having a blighted building torn down and replaced with a senior living complex, more housing, and a vibrant corridor of storefronts is a much better use for that parcel!
So thank you to the many people and groups it took to come together to make this massive change to our community. I cannot wait to see the end product.
