I haven't written a song in 2 and a half years. I feel a lot of shame about that. "Songwriting is a muscle. You have to exercise it." "Will my audience get tired of hearing the same old songs at each gig?" "I guess I'm not as talented of a songwriter if I don't write consistently." "Why can't I write when I'm happy?"

Since April, I've felt inspiration building and songs simmering inside me. I still had trouble putting pen to paper. Finally, over this past week, I've started writing again and it's so invigorating. I suspect what may have contributed to my writing hiatus, but that's a song for another time. And I've discovered that I can write when I'm happy. 😉

I'm so looking forward to singing with my duo partner (in life and on stage), Eric Carlin as Pushin' Time for you this Friday at Lovin' Cup. We're practicing some new covers for you. ❤️✌🏼

We (Eric Carlin's Half-Dead) had a blast playing on the Colonial Belle this past Wednesday! Dead tunes, a fun audience, and a beautiful sunset made for a wonderful night.

Another incredible supporting act will be performing at our venue this season. We are happy to announce Eric Carlin supporting America (The Band) on Sunday, July 2. 🎸

A diverse musician, Dr. Eric Carlin is equally at home with a flat top or Fender Stratocaster as he is with a fine classical guitar. Eric picked up a guitar at the age of 13 and discovered a way to express himself. Based in Rochester, New York, Eric has over 20 years of teaching and performing experience.

With a passion for Bach as well as the blues, Eric fuses his classical training with country, blues, and rock to create a unique sound. Discovering music as a coping mechanism for anxiety and depression, Eric is passionate about sharing his music with others in hopes that they too can find comfort. He is on faculty at Nazareth College and Mansfield University and offers private lessons to budding musicians and advanced musicians alike.

It's been one year since The In Between was released and I'm giving it the full band release show it deserves. It moves my soul to hear these songs (+ more) played with a full, live band. I hope it moves yours too. ❤️✌🏼

A couple of dreams came true in 2021 and that is an amazing feeling. Dreams that I once felt like I couldn't reach and that I felt like I wasn't good enough to manifest. Releasing my first EP, The In Between (my first ever recorded music) is something I will forever cherish. I'm proud of myself for playing gigs steadily throughout this year, something I haven't been able to do in previous years. Thank you all for being a part of my joy in music this year. Thank you for supporting me, inspiring me, collaborating with me, and listening to the songs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤
