Autopsy Report Shows More Than 100 Injuries On Tulsa Woman's Body 21/09/2019

This is horrendous. I've seen a lot of comments/shares on the story today. But what I don't think general population folks understand is that although this case seems particularly gruesome and offensive, IT IS NOT RARE. In our fair state children witness their mothers being beaten by their intimate partner at three times the national average. 50%. Think about that a moment. Think of two children you know. One of them (statistically speaking) has witnessed his/her mother BEING BEATEN.

Last time I checked Oklahoma was also #3 IN THE NATION for MURDER by intimate partner. #3 and those are NOT adjusted for population stats!

People YOU KNOW this is happening in your family and in your neighborhood -- possibly in your home. Stop turning a blind eye, telling yourself it's none of your business or pretending this isn't an issue. Domestic Violence is the #1 killer of women. Period.

It's time to change the stats.

Autopsy Report Shows More Than 100 Injuries On Tulsa Woman's Body The Medical Examiner's Office has released the autopsy report of a pregnant 21-year-old woman who police say was beaten to death by her boyfriend in April.

Why Don’t Teachers Get Training On Mental Health Disorders? 25/10/2016

I saw this on a friend's timeline and thought it was interesting. Good question. Teachers are often called on to deal with multiple issues. At Spectrum Behavioral Health Group - Tulsa we would be happy to offer affordable training to teachers or school districts. Just let us know how we can help.

Welcome to the launch of my new company. After several years of being privileged to work with individuals, staff and teams in the DDS system I decided it was time to start my own business. In the days of social media it only seemed right to "hang my shingle" here first for all to discover. I hope you all will support me and the incredible people I have the privilege to work with as we continue to support, advocate for and teach those who seek our services. We hope to launch October 1st of this year. More to follow soon!

One thing I've learned through this whole process is that it is TRUE that it takes a village. My village in STRONG! Thanks to each of you for being part of it. I'm humbled by your confidence in me, and look forward to continuing the journey we are on together.
