Today marks the 21st anniversary of the passing of Sheikh Abdullahi Salaty Naqeebul Ashraaf, who returned to his Creator on the 27th of June, 2003. Sheikh Abdullahi was a highly respected Islamic scholar and a leading figure in the Sufi Qadiriyah movement, known for his teachings and kindness.

His unwavering dedication to the Islamic school, Markaz Islamic and Arabic Institute in Agege, earned him the esteemed title of Sindeedul Markaz. As a devout prayer warrior, Sheikh Abdullahi’s life was deeply rooted in Zikr, earning him the affectionate name Allahu Lateef.

He left behind a legacy of 22 children and 3 wives. His eldest son, Sheikh Ahmad Rufai NDA Salaty, succeeded him as the current Naqeebul Ashraaf. Over the past 21 years, Sheikh Ahmad Rufai has diligently followed in his father’s footsteps, achieving significant milestones, including the establishment of Masjidu Sheikh Salaty in Singa Sango, Ogun State.

May Almighty Allah continue to grant Sheikh Abdullahi eternal rest. Amen.
